The hunt for the Sage takes Edward Kenway into the lush, uncharted jungle of Tulum. He must tail James Kidd through the underground Mayan Temple. While there is no combat to worry about, the real challenge lies in the temple trails, flooded tunnels, and massive rotating stone puzzles.

How to get the quest
This quest triggers automatically in the main storyline immediately after the quest “Nothing is True”.
The mission starts with you following James Kidd into a Mayan temple, only to find the path cut short by a broken wooden bridge, and to bypass, look towards the crumbling wall to your left, run up to the wall to grab the thick, horizontal tree root, once you have grip, shimmy towards the right along the wall root until you safely land on the other side of stone platform, as shown in the image below.
Solving Statue Puzzle One
Upon landing, Edward must solve a stone puzzle to open the big stone gate and advance further into the temple.
There are two colored statues, one is blue, and the other is red. Edward needs to pull those two colored statues onto the stone platform using his weight, then scale the wall directly to the left of the colored statue and shimmy towards the statue, as shown in the first image.
Edward’s weight will pull the color statue down. Wait until it locks on the stone platform. Refer to the second image below.
Repeat this process on the other side to pull the colored stone statue down. This opens the stone gate, and follow James Kidd to the next gate. Refer to the screenshots below.
Solving the Second Statue Puzzle
In this puzzle, you need to align the colored stone statue with the same colored floor panel.
Interact with the central lever to rotate the floor panel, watching the colored section of the outer rings as you turn. You need to rotate until the red floor panel aligns with the red statue above it.
Once aligned, pull the red statue down using Edward’s weight. Climb the wall to the left of the red statue and shimmy towards the statue.
This will open the second Stone gate. Refer to the images below.
Solving the Final Stone Puzzle
There are three colored Stone Statues that need to be aligned with the same colored floor tiles.
Interact with the central lever again to reposition the floor tiles. Rotate the lever until the red section matches the left pillar. Refer to the image below, and the blue section is right below the green statue.
Climb the white statue to the left to lift the red statue.
Once the red statue has been lifted, turn the lever to match the green tile with the green statue, pull the statue down using Edward’s weight, and lock it down to the floor tile, as shown in the images below.
Now rotate the lever until the blue statue is aligned with the right pillar, as in the image below.
And lift the blue statue using the white statue to the left with Edward’s weight.
Rotate the floor tile using the lever, and align the red statue with the red tiles and the blue statue with the blue tiles to unlock the three-layer gates.
