After Y’Berion gets his hands on the focus stone, it is useless without the precise instructions needed to control it, and those instructions are within the Almanac book, which is with the fire mages in the Old Camp.
Cor Kalom already sent a novice to get the book, but the novice got distracted by smoking weed and was denied entry by the guards into the main castle. This is where the quest begins: The Almanac. Y’Berion turns to you to get the book from the fire mages.
How to get the Quest
Meet the Y’Berion in the temple of the Swamp Camp, and he will explain the situation he is in and ask you to get the book from Old Camp.
When you accept the quest and head to the Old Camp, you will see that the novice Talas is standing at the main castle entrance as he is denied entry into the castle, and he will ask you to get into the castle and get the book.
Once you enter the castle, you will encounter a fire mage, Milten. Upon speaking to him, he will tell you that he was amused, and the book was actually stolen by Black Goblins. He will then ask you for a favour to retrieve the stolen book.
How to get to the Almanac
Milten will say to head east from the Swamp Camp until you see a bridge over the Canyon, but an easy way to find it is to speak with Talas, and he will guide you the whole way. We just need to follow him.
Once you reach the location and cross the bridge, you will see a cave to your left and three Black Goblins guarding the entrance, as shown in the image below.
Enter the cave, and it naturally curves to the left. There, you will encounter at least five to six Goblins inside the dark. Simply hit anyone to lure them outside the cave to clear them. Once cleared, head back inside, turn left, and then right, as shown in the image below.
After turning right, you could see a big rock and tree roots growing along the walls and ceiling. Now move forward slightly to the right, bypassing the root structure on the left, which will lead you deeper into the cave. As shown in the image below.
Once inside this opening, you can see a large boulder from there, turn left, and then turn right, where you will find a slope that leads you down into the cave system, as shown in the image below.
Drop down the ledge and clear another group of Black Goblins and head straight through the tunnel once the area is secure, as shown in the image below.
Once you exit the tunnel, turn left to reach a door, as shown in the image below.
Go through the door, and inside the chest, you can find the Almanac book. You can search the area to find any loot. Once done, head back to Y’Berion and hand it over. And collect your reward.
