Earning the trust of the inner circle in the old camp and getting into the castle is no easy task, even though people outside the castle vouch for you. Your final test and approval come from Diego’s “Test of Faith”. To prove your loyalty and good faith in the castle, you need to complete the task of faith, which comes with a dangerous path to the old mines with lethal wildlife, and to secure the supply list from Chief Ian by using the right code phrase and returning the list to Diego.
Prerequisite
You must speak to Thorus and Diego to start Chapter One of the storyline, and at least you should complete three quests to gain their favour and to vouch for you.
How to get the Test of Faith Quest
Let’s start from the North gate of the old camp, walk straight, Diego, and we will stand or sit right in front of the castle entry before Throus, as shown in the image below.
Speak to him to trigger the quest from Diego and select these dialogue options.
- “How is my reputation in the camp?”
- “Am I ready for that test of yours?”
Then he will say ”Yes” and will give you the Phrase code to the supply list from Ian.
- “The Crawlers look mighty hungry”.
And will also tell you to get a map from “Graham” for the old mines. Graham is around the inside of north gate, as shown in the image below.
Find him and ask him for the map, a straightforward task. The path to the old mines is in the image below.
Quest walkthrough
Start your journey through North Gate, head outside and cross the bridge, and follow the path as in the image below.
Walk straight from the bridge, stay on the pathway, will be going through a tunnel and come across animals, be ready to hunt them once you cross it, take a right walk towards the old mines. Once reached, turn slightly towards the right and keep walking into the tunnel, following the tracks, as shown in the image below.
You will reach the mines from there. We need to go underground to reach Chief Ian. Go straight through the wooden floor, turn right and head down the first ramp as shown in the image below.
Now, next level turn slightly to your left and walk through the wooden ramp, and move down as shown in the image below.
Follow the path toward your left to get to the next lower floor, as shown in the image below.
Follow the path slightly to your left that slopes down. Now you will get down to the Ian floor, where he will be standing with his shadow colleague,
As shown in the image below.
Approach Chef Ian and use the code phrase to get the supply list. He will hand over the list to you. Then head back to the old camp and hand over the list to Diego.
