Building the Ocean Temple is the final goal of the Bubbly Basin DLC in Pokémon Pokopia, but getting there takes a bit of work. However, before beginning the construction, you need to boost your Environment Level, collect Pokémon and get their request done, as well as collect crafting items. This guide will show you everything you need to do, from recruiting the required Pokémon to gathering materials and completing the Ocean Temple, so you can finish the Build the Beautiful Building quest.
How To Build The Ocean Temple
The Ocean Temple is among the largest constructions that can be unlocked through the Bubbly Basin DLC of Pokémon Pokopia. Before building the Ocean Temple, it is important that you reach Environment Level 3 and have the Ocean Temple Kit, which you can get from Popplio. To know more, read our guide on “How To Get The Ocean Temple Kit From Popplio In Pokémon Pokopia”.
How To Recruit Frillish
In order to recruit Frillish in Pokémon Pokopia Bubbly Basin DLC, make sure that you have the environment level at 3 and advance Popplio’s sidequest. Enter the cave that is located northwest of Popplio, remove the rocks that block your way, talk to Frillish, and find the Starmie Doll on the lowest level of the cave. To know more, read our guide on “How To Get Starmie Doll In Pokopia”.
How To Recruit Totodile
Finding Totodile in the Pokopia DLC will reward you with the Preschooler Outfit. Totodile is linked with a side quest involving some conversation with Popppilo, a minigame, and a little bit of repairs. To know more, read our guide on “Totodile And Preschooler Outfit Locations In Pokopia DLC”.
How To Recruit Corphish
In order to recruit Corphish, you must first make a Sandy Basin Tall Grass environment. All that is needed for this is 4 blocks of Seabed Tall Grass placed near the Sand Pile. With the setup complete, Corphish will eventually spawn within the town.
When this happens, simply wait until you see an orange question mark bubble appear above the Corphish. Speak to Corphish to start the request. Corphish will want the Sharpedo Submarine. To know more, read our guide on “Pokémon Pokopia Bubbly Basin DLC – How To Build A Sharpedo Submarine”.
How To Recruit Corsola and Mudkip

Start by creating a Basin Tall Grass and Coral habitat. You are supposed to put 1 Tall Coral, 1 Small Coral and 4 Seabed Tall Grass together in this habitat. Soon, Corsola will appear in your town. The moment you find an orange request bubble on Corsola, talk to it to accept the request.
Corsola will inform you of a plant field that requires air bubbles for growing. As Corsola cannot provide the air bubbles alone, you have to invite Mudkip, who can create the air bubbles. In order to invite Mudkip, create a Basin Tall Grass habitat using 4 Seabed Tall Grass together. Bring Mudkip to the field and have it bubble on the plants.
Then, Corsola will work on the plant and produce a Watermelon. Again, talk to Corsola after the Watermelon is grown. This time, Corsola will ask for help to find a Pokémon which can make slices from the watermelon.
How to Invite Carvanha
In order to invite Carvanha, you need to create a habitat made up of 2 Lush Seaweed and 4 Netting. Once you do this, Carvanha will move into your town. Then take the Watermelon to Carvanha, and Carvanha will slice it. Then go back to Corsola and give her the Watermelon Slice.
How To Recruit Barboach

A crying Barboach can be found in the broken building located on the right side of the bridge, immediately after the big tower. Have a conversation with it to accept the mission. Barboach reveals to you that it has lost its Seashell Seat in the Dark Canyon down below. You have to travel to the canyon and return with it.

The canyon is extremely dark; therefore, take light sources along, like Lampions, in order to guide you while exploring it. Move ahead in the canyon till you come across an Oriental Chair and a Lampion lying on the bottom of the sea. The Seashell Seat is lying ahead of both of them. Grab it and move back.

Return with the Seashell Seat to Barboach. It will appreciate you and request you to prepare a comfy place for relaxing. Prepare an Ocean Rest Spot habitat by arranging these three things:
- 1 Lampion
- 1 Seashell Seat
- 1 Small Coral
Once the habitat is ready, speak to Barboach one last time to complete the request and receive your reward.
How To Gather The Materials For The Ocean Temple Building

Now, you are almost towards the end of the quest. As the final step, you need to gather the following materials to start constructing the Ocean Temple.
- Star-spotted Rock x50
- Stone x30
- Seashells x25
- Shiny Pearls x10
- Seashell Fencing x10
- Ocean Doors x2
How to Get Star Spotted Rocks, Stones, and Seashells
Head to the mine on the right part of the map to find the Star-Spotted Rocks. Apply Rock Smash on the rocks and take as many as you want. Seashells are plentiful in Bubbly Basin, even down the seabed. They are found in Pikachu Dream Island as well. Stone is also a common item, so collect as many as possible.
How to Get Shiny Pearls
First, you will have to collect the Grubby Pearls in order to get Shiny Pearls. The Grubby Pearls can be found in the cave near the entrance of the mine. Take the Grubby Pearls to any Pokémon which specializes in Scrub, like Cloyster and Sharpedo. They will scrub the Grubby Pearls to make them Shiny Pearls.
How to Get Seashell Fencing
Head to the PC Shop and buy the recipe for Seashell Fencing. Craft the Seashell Fencing using the Workbench. The list of materials for 10 fences is as follows:
- 1 Star-Spotted Rock
- 1 Shiny Pearl
How to Get Ocean Door
The Ocean Door blueprint is hidden within a yellow Poké Ball, which can be found buried under the blocks at the construction site of the Beautiful Building. With the blueprint in your possession, all you need to make the door is 1 Star-Spotted Rock. After putting all the required items inside the building box, you need to clear away any sand or sea floor blocks that might be blocking the building site.
How To Finish The Ocean Temple
Once you’ve gathered all the required materials, it’s time to start construction. Send Popplio and its six friends, and eight other Pokémon in your town, to the building site. After talking to Popplio, send it to the building site too. With everyone ready, the Ocean Temple will begin construction. The Ocean Temple takes 1 hour to finish building. Upon completion, go to the Ocean Temple. There, you will see an unknown Legendary Pokémon. Talk to it to complete the main quest of Bubbly Basin.
