Secrets of the Blade is a key quest in Assassin’s Creed Shadows. If you’ve already completed Naoe’s storyline, it will become available. However, if you haven’t progressed through Naoe’s story yet, the quest will be mandatory during Act 3 as part of her arc. Because of this, the order in which it appears may vary depending on your progress in the game. This quest unlocks automatically after completing Wolves and Foxes and is recommended for players at level 24. As a reward, you’ll earn 1000 EXP and 20 Mon. In this mission, Naoe delves deeper into the secrets of her mother’s past and her connection to a group of assassins.
Secrets of the Blade Quest
To find the Secrets of the Blade quest, open the Objectives Board, scroll to the Naoe group, and select the mission listed under The Assassins (Naoe). The Tomb of the Ancients is located east of Sakai. When you reach the upheaval, approach from the south and slip through the crevice, you’ve arrived at Old Kofun.
Find Clues about Tsuyu
As you descend, you’ll come across a chest and a note. From here, go prone and crawl through the narrow gap beneath the rock. Follow the path deeper into the kofun until you reach an opening with a pool of water. Look up for a swing point on the ceiling, use it to swing across the gap.
Once across, head down the stairs and take a left to find another chest. After looting it, turn around and squeeze through the crevice ahead. On the other side, jump into the water and dive down, swimming through the submerged passage until you resurface in another open area. Here, you’ll find yet another pool of water, just like before, use the grapple point to swing across.
Immediately after, you’ll reach a fork in the path. It’s worth noting that the candles in this area aren’t lit, so you’ll need to light them yourself. Take the right path, which leads up to another gap with a grapple point. Swing across and open the chest. Then, return to the split in the path and go right again.
In the next open space, turn left and crawl through a small opening. Continue forward, then go right. You’ll soon arrive in a large chamber with a much bigger pool of water. Use the first grapple point to swing, then jump mid-air to grab a second grapple point and clear the gap. Open the chest in front of you before turning left to follow the path.
Climb up until you see the grapple icon, use it to pull yourself up and keep climbing. Follow this path until you come across a door marked with the Assassin’s icon. Open it, and you’ll step into an open space with several pedestals. Turn left to find a book waiting for you.
Before you go, move forward and pick up the Assassin’s armor. Then, retrace your steps up the path and squeeze through the crevice. Once you’re through, check the wall on your left, you’ll spot a gap. Throw a kunai at the explosive jars to clear the way back to the entrance.
