Eternal Strands – How to Find the Second Loomgate

Through this Loomgate mechanism, Eternal Strands provides players with a superfast travel option. This section should therefore inform you on finding and activating the second Loomgate, while discussing how this system works along with the benefit from a Loomshard collected from the first usage. Conclusively, a note on possible implications of utilizing this fast-traveling method in an effective exploration within the game space is also needed.

How to Find the Second Loomgate in Eternal Strands

Once you finish the opening mission called ‘The Veil’, you’ll return to your home base. From there, head north towards the Loomgate. It’s situated at the highest point in Feller’s Arch. These gates are like shortcuts that let you quickly travel between different places. So, it’s a good idea to unlock this one first to make exploring easier and save time

As you make your way to Feller’s Arch, feel free to take down any enemies you encounter and keep an eye out for Codex Entries. These entries will give you more information about the game’s lore. Once you reach Feller’s Arch, you’ll find the Loomgate high up. Follow the path around, and you’ll come across some stairs that wind their way up a large hill. When you reach the Loomgate, press the Triangle button (or the equivalent button on your controller) to activate it. Before you leave, make sure to grab the Codex Entry located nearby. You’ll find it next to some wreckage

How to Use the Second Loomgate in Eternal Strands

The Loomgates may be covered and obstructed. You must, therefore, clear debris obstructing them or destroy rubble or use the specific magic of your game, which is Eternal Strand in this case to move the blocks out of its way. By clearing the obstacle, you could then activate interaction with the gate.

After clearing away the debris and activating the Loomgate, you will get a special item called the Loomshard. This useful little device enables you to instantly return to your base from any place in the game. Although the use of Loomshard is free, it has a minor drawback: it takes a few moments to activate. During this time, you’re vulnerable to attacks, so make sure you’re in a safe spot before using it.

    How to use the Loomshard:

    • To use it, switch to your consumables slot (press Z/X on the keyboard or the D-Pad on your controller).
    • Then, use it just like you would use a healing potion.
    • If you’re playing on a keyboard, you can assign a specific key to the Loomshard to use it more quickly.

    Important Note:

    • The Loomshard is only for returning to your base.
    • While you could technically use it to travel between different areas by going back to your base and then using the Loomgate there, this can have some drawbacks.
    • Travelling back and forth to your base will cause time to pass in the game world. This can sometimes change the conditions of the area you’re trying to explore, so be mindful of that.

Exploring in Eternal Strands can involve a lot of walking. Luckily, you can fast travel for free whenever you meet the right conditions. While fast travel is generally simple, there are a few extra steps in Eternal Strands that you’ll want to learn as you play.

Decided that degrees were as useful as extra lives in a Mario game-totally unnecessary! I’m diving into the extravagant universe of my favourite game, Assassin’s Creed, which lets me roam the world without actually paying for plane tickets. Hodophile by nature and aspiring to get lost in Hang Sơn Đoòng cave in Vietnam someday!
