There are several collectables that can be found throughout the chapters in Act 4 of Gears of War: E-Day. While some of them can be easily located, there are also some other collectables hidden inside the buildings, off-path areas, and even on the main path. This guide covers all the collectables, Hard Cases and Secondary objectives in Act 4, so you can collect everything without having to search every area on your own.
Act 4 – Chapter 1
COG Tags of Sergeant Major Hank Rustin
You’ll automatically receive these COG Tags when you start the chapter, so you don’t need to search for them.
Hard Case
At the start of the chapter, take the steps on the left and go all the way down. You’ll find the hard case on the floor against the wall.
Message from The Coalition
Start the chapter and make your way down to the memorial. You’ll find the collectible there.
COG Tags of Sergeant Betsy
Cross the bridge and turn left. The COG Tags are waiting in this area.
Hard Case
When you reach the cathedral ruins, look to the right of the remaining red stained-glass windows. The hard case is there.
Hard Case
After leaving the back of the cathedral, enter the cemetery area and head toward the back right. You’ll find the hard case there before you leave through the gate where you split up from Commander Zee and Michaelson.
Hard Case
After leaving the church and graveyard area, turn left and follow the long road uphill. You’ll likely run into a Bile Frog and some Wretches along the way. At the top, look for the locked gate. The hard case is next to it.

Go up the street behind the Regalia Hotel and enter the building through the entrance on the right. The hard case is inside the small foyer.

Enter the Regalia Hotel and immediately turn left. You’ll find the hard case on the floor.
Regalia Hotel VIP Guest List
Head to the front desk inside the Regalia Hotel. You’ll find the VIP Guest List there.
Hard Case
Stand in front of the Regalia Hotel and take the road on the right that goes uphill. Look for a set of steps leading down to a back alley on the right. Head down and check the far-left side to find the hard case on the floor.
DISPUTE Magazine
After passing through the cathedral area, follow the objective and look behind the truck you can interact with. The magazine is there.
Hard Case
Leave the hotel through the back staircase to reach a courtyard. Turn left and look toward the back of the area. The hard case is on the other side of the fountain in the middle of the courtyard.
Hard Case
Head into the large crater area where the Locust attack begins. On the right, you’ll see a restaurant with red wooden signs. Go inside and turn right to find the hard case in a back room.
Anniversary Card and Tickets
Look for the building with several Locust snipers. You’ll find the Anniversary Card and Tickets inside.
Hard Case
From the middle of the large crater, head northeast toward the upper-right side of the area. Look for a building on the corner with a clock face on its narrow front. Marcus will mention that you can see the Kalona Statue nearby. Check the floor to the left of the statue to find the hard case.
A Handwritten Letter, in Vasgari
Head to the market in the far-left part of the map. Once you reach the area, check the back section to find the letter.
Secondary Objective: Missing Convoy
From the last collectible, head to the right and look for a set of arches on the ground floor. You’ll find the secondary objective in front of them. To complete it, defeat the Spore Matrons and any other Locusts in the area.
COG Tags of Specialist Harrison Alexieff
You’ll find these COG Tags on the way to the university.
Statuette of Roman Kalona
Before reaching the town square objective, enter the gift shop. The statuette is inside.
Hard Case
Head to the bottom-left side of Kalona Square and enter the ruins of the building there. Go toward the back-left corner to find the hard case.
COG Tags of Specialist Dale Maddoc
Head to the side of the university near the side mission. You’ll find Dale Maddoc’s COG Tags there.
Secondary Objective: R.I.G.S. Experiment
From the last collectible, head left and enter the building behind it. Activate the machine inside, then defeat the Locusts to complete the objective.
Hard Case
To leave Kalona Square, head to the top of the area and look for the gate you need to pass through. Before going through it, check the left side near the two police cars. The hard case is there.
Blood Splattered Ulk Plushie
Follow the street that leads toward the Opera House. The plushie can be found along the way.
Hard Case
You’ll eventually reach a plaza at the top of a slope, where you’ll need to fight several Locust and Reavers. Once the area is clear, go back toward the top of the slope where you entered. Turn left and check the back-left corner, just before the roadblock, to find the hard case.
Light Darker Opera Program
Enter the Opera House and go up to the second floor. Check the balcony to find the Opera Program.
COG Tags of Specialist Mei Aoi
Head to the end of the street on the left side of the Opera House. You’ll find Mei Aoi’s COG Tags there.
Secondary Objective: Clocktower Defence
Stand facing the entrance of the opera house, then head right and follow the road around the building. You’ll find a clocktower on your right with the secondary objective. Defeat all the waves of Locusts to complete it.
Hard Case
Head to the area left of where you find the Clocktower Defense secondary objective. Go down the road and turn left into the alleyway. Follow it to the back-left corner to find the final hard case.
Act 4 – Chapter 2
Hard Case
From the start of the chapter, follow the main path until you reach a slightly larger room with a bench in the middle. Check the left side of the bench to find the hard case.
COG Tags of Sergeant Aman Landry
When the train stops and you encounter the first Locust enemies, quickly get off the train. You need to grab the COG Tags before the train starts moving again.
N0 80 Graffitied Poster
After the train stops, head back and follow the tracks through the tunnel on the right. Check the wall on the left to find the poster.
Hard Case
When you need to leave the train platform through the Exit, head upstairs and follow the corridor around. Before turning left into the next corridor, go straight into the room ahead. The hard case is inside.
Hard Case
After coming out of the subway, you’ll have to fight some Locust. Once the area is clear, head up to the Skytrain platform with the yellow metal structure. At the top of the stairs, turn right and look across the gap. You’ll find the hard case on the edge of the platform.
Act 4 – Chapter 3
Hard Case
After talking to Auntie in the bar, leave the area and go through the gates into the main part of the chapter. Walk forward a little, then turn right. You’ll find the hard case just over the low wall.
Young Artists Night Poster
Once you reach the open field, take the first street on your left. You’ll find the poster in this area.
Hard Case
Head toward the more central part of the area, roughly in line with the entrance to the open-world section. Move toward the warehouse ahead and slightly to the right. Enter through the doorway on the right and go to the back of the room. Climb the ledges to reach the next floor, where you’ll find the hard case.
Hard Case
From the previous hard case, turn right and go through the hole in the wall. You may drop down to the floor below. Climb the crates and wall to get back onto the upper path, then follow it around to find the hard case sitting on a ledge.
Maranday Apple Brandy Bottle
This bottle is close to the previous collectible. Head north along the nearby street to find it.
COG Tags of Corporal Goran Ducaine
Look for the warehouse-like building in the upper part of the area. Goran Ducaine’s COG Tags are inside.
Hard Case
Stay on the roof and head toward the back, to the left of where you found the previous hard case. Climb the small ledge and look for a small loading dock. The hard case is inside.
Hard Case
Head back toward the far right side of the area. After passing the spot where you found the R.I.G. Component collectible, follow the path at the top-right of the railway area. You’ll find the hard case behind a dumpster.
A Letter Regarding Armadillos
Find the building where civilians are defending themselves and enter the first floor. The letter is sitting on a desk.
COG Tags of Lance Corporal Calder Hunt
Look for the building near the train yard. You’ll find Calder Hunt’s COG Tags inside.
R.I.G Component
Head into the train yard and look inside one of the empty train cars. The R.I.G Component is inside.
Secondary Objective: Special Cargo
From the last hard case, head toward the right side of the map and move upward. You’ll find the secondary objective there. Defeat all the Locusts, then head to the special shipping container and open it to complete the objective.
Imulsion Blast Charge
You can get this collectible after completing the side mission in the northeastern part of the map.
Refiner’s Union Jacket
After collecting the Imulsion Blast Charge, turn around and enter the building on your right. Go up to the second floor to find the jacket.
Hard Case
At the end of the Special Cargo secondary objective, look behind the shipping container. You’ll find a helipad there with the hard case sitting on it.
Secondary Objective: Fire in the Hole
From the helipad, look to the left and head upward. Climb the crates to reach the building above. You can also use the stairs to get up there. Once you reach the upper floor, defeat the Locusts that spawn below to complete the secondary objective.
COG Tags of Lieutenant Jacob Palma
Make your way inside the refinery. Jacob Palma’s COG Tags are located there.
Secondary Objective: Trapped Locust
Turn around and head to the building in the center of the trainyard. Use the wooden walkway to reach the first floor, where you’ll start the secondary objective. Interact with the console to bring a train carriage toward you. You’ll have some time to set up a kill zone before releasing the Locusts from the train car. Once you’re ready, release them and take them all out to complete the objective.
Hard Case
You’ll find this hard case inside the train carriage that you need to clear during the Trapped Locust secondary objective.

Near the Seradyne factory, look for a rope leading up to a platform. Climb the rope and check the platform above to find the hard case.
Hard Case
Return to the entrance and turn left. Follow the path forward and climb the ladder. Once you reach the top, the hard case will be right in front of you.
Severed JACK Bot Head
Head to the large factory in the middle of the map. You’ll find the Severed JACK Bot Head inside.

Inside the factory at the center of town, look for a small room. The photo is inside.
COG Tags of Lance Corporal Dalia Avdol
Look for the broken bridge inside the factory. You’ll need to jump across to reach Dalia Avdol’s COG Tags.
Hard Case
Head back out from the area where you found the previous hard case and enter the Seradyne loading bay. Go up the slope on the right to find the hard case.
Seradyne Factory Closure Sign
Head to the factory where the chapter’s final side mission takes place. The sign is on the bottom floor.
Hard Case
If you’re heading to the power station to restore the power, clear out all the enemies first. Once the area is safe, look for a truck to the left of the power station. The hard case is next to the driver’s cab.
Port of Kalona Docking Registry
You’ll find this during the chapter’s final main objective. Climb the tower and check the central console to pick up the registry.
Hard Case
Drop down from the previous hard case and head toward the back of the garage. On the right, you’ll find a door you can open, which triggers an attack from several Wretches. Take them out, then go inside to collect the final hard case.
Secondary Objective: Death From Above
After completing the main objective at the power plant, head to the Seradyne Armadillo factory. Make your way to the roof to find the secondary objective. Defeat all the enemies there to complete it.
Act 4 – Chapter 4
Hard Case
Near the start of the chapter, you’ll reach a fuel station. Clear out the enemies, then head to the right side of the parking area. Look for a white van and go around to the back. You’ll find the hard case through the opening on the side.
Infinity Mints
Head to the only gas station in this chapter. The Infinity Mints are there.
Hard Case
Go around to the back of the fuel station shop and use the dumpster to climb onto the roof. Once you’re up there, head to the right to find the hard case.
Hard Case
Continue along the main path after leaving the fuel station. You’ll eventually reach a power substation guarded by Locust. Take them out, then check the right side of the substation area to find the hard case.
Signed Kalona Eagles Cap
While heading toward the comms tower, go underneath the bridge. You’ll find the signed cap there.
Hard Case
After the cutscene at the comms tower, you’ll regain control outside the comms station. Before going inside, turn left and look at the wall of the nearby building. The hard case is sitting against it.
Hard Case
From the previous hard case, turn right and then take the next left. You’ll see a shooting range ahead and a tower on the right. Check the area to the right of the tower to find the final hard case.

Enter the comms tower and look around inside. The photo is located there.
Lucas’ Handheld Radio
You can find Lucas’ radio in the same area as the previous collectible, inside the comms tower.
Pair of Binoculars
Once you reach the end of the comms tower area, follow the bridge to find the binoculars.
Act 4 – Chapter 5
COG Tags of Lance Corporal Aniyah Musa
At the beginning of the chapter, turn left. You’ll find Aniyah Musa’s COG Tags there.
Hard Case
At the end of the street where you start, you’ll need to enter a warehouse to continue. Once inside, head to the back-right room from the entrance. The hard case is waiting there.
Hard Case
When you reach the bottom of the trainyard, the main objective will send you into a building on the right to get around the barricade. As soon as you enter, turn left and follow the path all the way to the top-left corner. You’ll find the hard case there.
Hard Case
Head to the factory buildings at the back-left side of the trainyard. Enter the room in the upper-left area, and check immediately to your left. The hard case is right there.
Hard Case
You’ll find the final hard case in the area where you fight the Brumak and Spore Matrons. You can pick it up during the fight or return for it after clearing the area.
COG Tags of Lance Corporal Ava Wilson
Continue through the chapter until you reach the final area. You’ll find Ava Wilson’s COG Tags on the way to the reactor.
Act 4 – Chapter 6
Hard Case
At the start of the chapter, enter the first building you come across. Once inside, look to your left to find the hard case.
Bust of Allfather Decha Timgad
You can grab the bust as soon as you enter the refinery.
Damaged Gas Mask
Explore the open area of the refinery before entering the tunnel. The damaged gas mask is there.
Hard Case
After taking the long elevator up, turn right when you exit. Turn right again, and you’ll see a ladder on the wall to your right. Climb the ladder to find the hard case.
Hard Case
You’ll eventually head back outside and make your way toward the refinery. When the objective tells you to enter the main building, don’t go inside yet. Instead, turn left and walk onto the platform past the entrance. The hard case is sitting at the edge.
Hard Case
You’ll eventually split up, with Marcus staying with Reyes. After you reunite, you’ll enter an upper room and go through a set of double doors. This leads to an area with a Boomer and several Locusts. Once it’s safe, take the first right you can. You’ll find the hard case there.
Hard Case
Cross the walkway where you fought the Locusts and enter the room on the other side. At the end of the room, turn right to find a hole in the floor. Before dropping down, move to the left side to find the hard case.
Tyran Business Monthly
After reuniting with the other squad members, look for a small room on the left. You’ll find the magazine inside.
Memorandum to Dr. Elliot
You’ll come across this collectible inside the office you need to pass through as part of the story.
Hard Case
After leaving the previous room, follow the corridor as it turns right. It will eventually turn left, but don’t follow it yet. Instead, go straight into the small room directly ahead. Turn right inside to find the hard case.
Dalia Fabbri’s Research Journal
Reach the final room of the chapter and look for the journal before starting the boss fight.
Hard Case
The next hard case is in the same room as the previous one. Look to the right, past the door you’re supposed to use to continue. You’ll find the hard case sitting on a computer console.
Hard Case
To find the Impact Rounds (Ripper), go around the Imulsion on the floor and check the opposite side of the Supply Cache.
Supply Cache
You can find the Supply Cache (Critical Failure) in Chapter 6, inside the Amber Labs facility. Look for it near the lift that takes you down to the refinery’s core.
