The Time has Come Quest Guide in KCD2 Mysteria Ecclesiae DLC

The Time Has Come is the last of eleventh quest in the Mysticria Ecclesia DLC for Kingdom Come Deliverance 2. This quest begins right after the completion of the quest To Dust You Shan’t Return and brings you back to the Sedletz Monastery once again. With Albich’s life hanging by a thread, you will retrieve King Wenceslas’s medical records, complete your confrontation with Zacharias, and bring this dark chapter to its conclusion.

How to Begin the Quest

The quest starts immediately after the quest To Dust You Shan’t Return. You will still be at the Sedletz Monastery in the Kuttenberg region where Albich is suffering from collapses from poisoning. The schemes of Zacharias have finally caught up, and your first job will be to assist Albich and uncover Wenceslas’s lost records of medicine.

Finding King Wenceslas’s Medical Records

To begin, help Albich and lay him down on the left bed at the infirmary. In the meantime, he mutters the word “scales”, which hints toward your next destination. This clue refers to the symbol of scales on the monastery map, marking the Abbot’s chapel.

Open your map and zoom in fully. Just west of the infirmary, you will find a small chapel signified by an angel holding scales. Head to that chapel. Go through the western courtyard into the chapel and behind the altar, you’ll find King Wenceslas’s medical records. This discovery sets the stage for the choices to come.

Learning How to Forge the Records

If you are going to make a forgery, go to the library and find Librarian Crispin. Select the dialogue line that says “How to forge documents?” then select, “It’s about King Wenceslas.” He will explain how forgeries work, updating your objective marker.

During your time in the library, you might want to remember to engage with the cat in the back-left corner adjacent to the last bookshelf. To do this, walk as far as possible until you see the prompt “Kitty kitty…” and then select that prompt to call the cat. This action counts towards the Feline Affection trophy. If you do not see the prompt, try saving and reloading the game.

Forging the Medical Records

When you’ve learned how to forge, exit the library, travel downstairs into the basement, turn right and climb over the scaffold to reach the hidden scriptorium– the same one encountered during the Anamnesis quest. Interact with the table to start forging the fake medical report.

Before doing so, open your inventory and read Wenceslas’s medical record under the “Books” tab to see its contents. When prompted to fill in details for the forgery, choose the options that closely match the real record: Without addressing – Head and stomach pain – Less drink – Infertility – Healthy lifestyle.

Selecting these ensures Zacharias will believe the forgery later.

Speaking with the Abbot & Meeting Ludolf

If you gave the relic to the Abbot in Seek and You Shall Find, you’ll receive the optional task to speak with him. Go upstairs from the library to his office. Winning any of the persuasion checks allows you to reclaim the relic and lift the curfew. If you fail, you can still retrieve it by stealing it from the chest in his private chamber at the end of the hallway.

After gaining the Abbot’s trust, you’ll be directed to Ludolf, the head of the monastery guards. He patrols the area between the monastery and the soldiers’ camp. Approaching him automatically grants permission to collect your gear.

At the camp, you’ll find a Noble Cuirass and a Bell-Shaped Bascinet in one of the tents. These are powerful armor pieces perfect for the upcoming confrontation. Even if you didn’t talk to Ludolf, you can still steal the armor set.

Waiting for Zacharias in the Church

Before heading into the church, make sure you’re fully equipped. Bring your best sword, healing potions like Merigold Decoction, and a few bandages. Create a manual save, as this marks the point of no return.

When ready, approach the hole in the church and interact with it to trigger a cutscene. Zacharias appears with his men, cornering you. During the dialogue, you can hand him either the real medical records or the forged copy.

  • Giving the real or accurate forged version earns you his trust and the antidote later.
  • A poor forgery causes him to mock your attempt, realizing you tried to deceive him.

Regardless of your choice, the Abbot and his guards soon storm the church, killing Zacharias’s men and saving you. This outcome always happens no matter what decisions you made earlier.

Stopping Zacharias’s Escape & Defeating Him

Once control returns, deal with the soldier blocking your path or sprint past him. Drop through the hole in the church floor and take the tunnel on the right side of the crypt. Follow it through the cellar—there’s only one open route—and defeat another enemy along the way. After exiting, a cutscene plays, leading straight into your duel with Zacharias.

Zacharias may appear unarmored, but he can withstand heavy blows, so prepare for a tough fight. Once you defeat him, a dialogue sequence follows. If you offer him a Painkiller Brew and choose to ask all available questions, he confesses everything—admitting his obsession with poisons and his jealousy of Albich’s success. Before dying, he urges you to live a better life than he did. You can choose to pray for his soul or condemn his sins. Loot the antidote from his body afterward.

Albich’s Fate

You’ll automatically return to Albich’s bedside. If you handed over the real or correctly forged records, Albich is fully healed after receiving the antidote. If not, he still wakes up but suffers from impaired vision. The story then shifts to the restored church, signaling the conclusion of your journey through the monastery.

Inside the church, talk to Albich to wrap up his storyline, then speak with the Abbot nearby. Your dialogue choices here don’t affect the outcome—he remains friendly regardless of whether you lied or kept the relic earlier.

Leaving the Monastery

Exit through the western gate to complete the DLC and earn two trophies:

  • Fresh Air – for completing the DLC.
  • Quiet as a Church Mouse – for finishing without ever being caught and escorted back to the infirmary.
