One of the best early game sets you can get is the Heavy Vest and Heavy Pants. They’re easy to get once you reach Old Town and give you great protection, helping you survive fights and explore more.
How to Get Early Heavy Armor
When you’re just starting out in Dying Light: The Beast, having good armor makes a big difference for survival. While you’ll unlock stronger gear as you progress, there’s an early option that’s useful the Heavy Vest and Heavy Pants.
Together, the Heavy Vest and Heavy Pants give you solid protection for the early game, making fights and exploration much easier. They’re some of the best starting armor pieces you can get before unlocking higher-tier sets later on.
The Heavy Vest and Heavy Pants each give you five points of Gear Armor, which makes them some of the strongest protection you can get early on. As soon as you unlock Old Town, make sure to grab them right away they’ll give you a nice boost and make the early game a lot easier. Here’s where you can find both pieces.
Heavy Vest Location
You can pick up the Heavy Vest in Oldtown. Once this area opens up for exploration, head to the Station Square apartment dark zone, which is right near the railway station. Clear the zone, and you’ll be able to get the vest.
Heavy Pants Location
The Heavy Pants are also in Oldtown, but this time you’ll need to go to the Library Square department dark zone, located toward the top of the map. Check this spot to complete your early heavy armour set.
