How to Find Dandelion Tufts in Grounded 2

Need a safe way to explore high places in Grounded 2? Dandelion tufts act as lightweight gliders, which let you gently float to the ground, thus negating all fall damage. This guide will tell you where to find them, how to collect them, and why you should always carry a few.

Where to Get Dandelion Tufts

Grounded 2’s Survival Backyard is replete with resources, petals, clovers, and bug parts being a few, yet the dandelion tuft is seldom considered, though it turns out to be rather important. Fairly light and flimsy looking, you can glide yourself from high places easily with its help as it stops you from incurring fall damage! But you won’t come across these tufts just lying around, you will have to go chopping tall dandelions for it.

Dandelions are present all over Brookhollow Park, but one easy spot to head to early in the game is near the Snackbar Front. These tall plants with fluffy tops are easy to identify if you keep your eyes on the sky. If the view gets obstructed, keep an eye out for the jagged leaves on the ground that are a dead giveaway for a nearby stalk.

Once you’ve spotted one, chop it down. When it falls, a few tufts will break off and slowly float down to the ground. They tend to drift in random directions, so make sure you watch where they go and collect them before they disappear into the grass.

Note: From up high, dandelions are much easier to pick out since they rise well above the surrounding plants so climbing on something to get above the grassy clutter would be recommended.

What Dandelion Tufts Are Good For

Dandelion tufts serve as makeshift gliders, letting you float safely from high places and avoid fall damage by holding the jump button mid-air. They’re especially handy when navigating risky heights or making quick descents.

Keep in mind, though, each tuft can only be used once. Put some extra tufts in your backpack if you’re climbing high altitudes such as the picnic table. Nonetheless, you might discover more tufts near those locations, so watch out!
