Death Mountain Crater & Zora River 100% Walkthrough
Once you have retrieved the Goron Ruby, Darunia will instruct you to meet the Great Fairy on the mountaintop of Death Mountain. Just take the mountain path and travel around the mountain before ascending it.
Gold Skulltula #1

After exiting Dodongo’s Cavern, head back down Death Mountain Trail towards Kakariko Village. Use a Bomb to destroy the cracked wall on your left and reveal the first Gold Skulltula.
Gold Skulltula #2

Then go to the top level of Goron City. Go into the room that lies behind the two boulders that you can break with Bombs, then bomb the rocks that block your way until you see another Gold Skulltula inside a box beside two chests.
Reach The Great Fairy

Keep going up the Death Mountain Trail until you reach the summit. Beware of falling rocks while ascending. On reaching the summit, find a cracked wall and blast it open with a Bomb to get access to the Great Fairy Fountain. Step on the Triforce mark and play Zelda’s Lullaby there. The Great Fairy will give you a Magic Meter and Din’s Fire as your reward. In the remake, you’ll also need to pay her 25 Rupees before receiving these rewards.
Heart Piece #1

Before proceeding to leave the mountain, explore Death Mountain Crater. However, be very cautious, since Link will be continually losing his health in the crater unless he is burn resistant. Now, go to the front of the mountain and look at the cliff before you. You will notice a small ledge with a Heart Piece on it. Now, jump on it and collect the Heart Piece.
Business Scrub Seed

Climb up and go to the right side of the crater where there is a Deku enemy shooting objects at you. Deflect their attacks using your shield, and they will submit. Talk to the Deku Scrub, and it will tell you that it has a Heart Piece for sale for 100 rupees. You can only get the Heart Piece in Child Link form.
Heart Piece #2

After dealing with the Business Scrub, make sure you have enough Rupees to acquire its Heart Piece. You will require paying 100 Rupees to get your Heart Piece.
Gold Skulltula #3

Before leaving Death Mountain Crater, look for two crates near the entrance on your left. Break the crate that’s farther away to reveal another Gold Skulltula.
Heart Piece #3

Once out of Death Mountain Crater, talk to Kaepora Gaebora by the entrance of Death Mountain Crater. The owl will take you all the way back to Kakariko Village and leave you on top of Impa’s House. Below this roof, there is a smaller roof where you can find a Heart Piece if you jump on it carefully.
Head To Zora River

Depart from Kakariko Village and go to Hyrule Field. Go southeast from the village exit point until you can see the entrance to Zora River. Follow the river via the cave. At the entrance, you will see Kaepora Gaebora sitting on the stone pillar. After that, go upstream where you will see two big boulders which you need to blow up using a Bomb.
Gold Skulltula #4

After destroying the boulders, look for the soft soil patch near the Magic Bean Seller. Use a Bottle Bug on the soil to reveal another Gold Skulltula.
Heart Piece #4

Find the Cucco that is roaming around the iron gate at the bottom of Zora River. Carry the Cucco and take it upstream until you find a big step. Throw the Cucco on the step, jump on it yourself and then pick up the Cucco again. Glide using the Cucco to the right and climb the vines to access the upper area and find a hole on the left side. Take this Cucco back outside and use it to glide towards the Heart Piece on the nearby platform.
Heart Piece #5

Once you have gotten the previous Heart Piece, drop the Cucco back down toward the main pathway to be able to retrieve it once again. Go upstream and follow the same procedure of tossing the bird over the huge step. Once you are at the top, head toward the entrance of Zora’s Domain. Eventually, you will come to an area where there are narrow ramps. Head left and grab the Heart Piece that is placed on a platform.
Gold Skulltula #5 (Night)

On your visit to the last portion of Zora River, search for a Gold Skulltula in the vicinity of the narrow bridges. It will be available only at night time, so use the Sun’s Song to change time if needed. Move to the lower area from the rock covered with climbable vines.
Enter Zora Domain

After getting all of them, keep following the river trail until you come to the entrance of Zora’s Domain. Stand in front of the Triforce symbol and play the song of Zelda. This way, the entrance to Zora’s Domain will be opened for you.
