The Sanctum of Atonement is an optional Sanctum puzzle in Hernand that ties into the Witch of Kindness side quest. Unlike a straight fight, this encounter mixes enemy clearing with environmental puzzle steps, you’ll need to liberate the ruins, recover two Fusion Core pieces and Force Palm them into place to restore the device. Completing the sanctum rewards useful resources for kuku items, crafting materials and XP, also advances the Witch of Kindness questline.
The Sanctum of Atonement Location
The Sanctum of Atonement is located just above the letter A in Hernand on the map as shown in the above image. The sanctum is occupied by the enemy faction, you’d have to liberate the sanctum first before proceeding with the sanctum’s cleansing.
How to cleanse the sanctum?
We need to find the missing reactor cores of the sanctum and in this case we need two of them. One of them looks like a cube and the other one looks like the missing pillar’s head.
First Reactor Core Location
If you turn around from the sanctum and look to your right, you’ll see a hole in the wall as shown in the above picture. Head inside through the hole and look up, the first reactor core will be floating in the air. Use the Axiom Force on the reactor core and you’ll see an option to seal it inside the kuku pot.
Second Reactor Core Location
Then turn around and exit the room where you found the first reactor core through the path marked in the above picture.
After you’ve exited the room, look to your left onto the marked door as shown in the above picture. Head inside and you’ll find the second reactor core, seal the core using the kuku pot and head back to the sanctum.
Cleansing the Sanctum of Atonement
Place the reactor core that looks like a cube near the empty slot that is to the side of the sanctum and then use force palm on the reactor core to push it in place.
Do the same with the second reactor core, use Axiom Force to place it on top of the broken pillar, then climb on to the core and use Aerial Force Palm to push the reactor core in place.
This will activate the sanctum and cleanse it. There you go, you now cleaned the Sanctum of Atonement. Shortly after this a cutscene will play with the Witch of Kindness.
