Think you’ve fully cleared the Sanctums of Pywel? Think again. Beyond the initial light mirrors and rotating pillars lies a secondary layer of ancient engineering that most of us overlook. These Sanctums have a secret hidden inside them. If you’re looking to uncover the True Reward of the sanctums then this guide will show you exactly how to trigger the hidden mechanism and solve the final mystery of the sanctums.
What is the hidden secret?
The sanctum has a hidden mechanism that when triggered is going to reward you with an artifact that can be used to upgrade kaku pot or craft new equipment like armor pieces and possibly unique weapons. I have yet to uncover many more.
Sanctum of Benediction
Note : For this particular example, I’ve chosen the Sanctum of Benediction but the process is the same for every sanctum scattered across the continent of Pywel.
How to trigger the hidden mechanism?
For triggering the hidden mechanism you have to use Blinding Light Focus ability on the gemstone that is at the center of the circular structure on the sanctum. And when you do that, you can notice that the circular wheel on which there are small gemstones attached moves.
So this is how the mechanism works, do you see the hand at whose end overlaps the circular wheel that rotates on which the gemstones are attached? You have to use focus blinding light whenever the hand is on top of the gem on the wheel and let go of the focus light when it’s not.
Basically you have to use focus blinding light when the hand is on the gem and let go when it’s not. This all comes down to the timing of yours, might need a couple of tries.
When you’ve managed to trigger the hidden mechanism, an artifact emerges from the sanctum. Use the kaku pot to seal the artifact.
How to use the artifact?
Head to this location in Hernand, Kilnden Workshop where you got the kaku pot from by completing chapter 4.
Then make your way to the top of kilnden workshop where Grimnir hangs out and talk with him. You’ll be presented with an option of crafting and enhancement. You can use the artifacts you got from sanctum for this purpose but you do need additional resources to craft new items or to enhance them.
