The Void is one of the main story quests in Diablo 4: Lord of Hatred and takes place in The Cankering Centre in the Skovos region. This quest begins automatically after completing A Withering Curse. During this mission, you will travel deep into the Bowels of the Old City alongside Lorath, fighting through waves of enemies and helping him remove magical barriers that block your path. In this guide, we will show you how to complete The Void quest in Diablo 4: Lord of Hatred.
The Void Quest
The Void is an important mission in the Lord of Hatred storyline of Diablo 4. It takes place at The Cankering Centre, which is located in the Skovos area. After finishing A Withering Curse, approach Lorath outside the entrance to the Bowels of the Old City. As soon as the discussion is over, begin the Void mission and continue progressing through the storyline.
As soon as you complete the A Withering Curse, go inside the Bowels of the Old City and move down into the catacombs. Go in the northwest direction and find a doorway behind a barrier. Several monsters will show up; therefore, kill all of them while Lorath opens the passage.
Once the barrier has been destroyed, move further into the catacombs. Keep going to the end and kill all enemies found in the process. When you come to a split in the path, take the route heading southwest. Continue through the catacombs until you reach another doorway sealed by a barrier. More enemies will attack while Lorath removes the barrier, so stay close and protect him until the path opens.
Collecting Tip of Lilith’s Blade
When the door opens, head forward and continue to follow the path towards north-west. This should take you to The Wound in the World, where you should talk to Lorath and select the following option – “A doorway to the Void, beneath a dead city…”
Go through the doorway next to the big hole and continue on to Ancient Pedestal. Investigate it to find out that the pedestal is empty. After this, Mephisto will tell you that he has possession of the item that you are searching for.
Move on and climb over the ledges to get to The Dead Reservoir. You will then find something called the Hand, which quickly changes into a boss – the Tormented Servant. Defeat this enemy, then collect the Tip of Lilith’s Blade from the loot it drops. After picking up the item, speak with Lorath one last time. Use the nearby door to leave the dungeon, which will complete The Void quest.
