Temple of Innos is a quest which you will get in Chapter 3 of the Gothic 1 Remake. During the Temple of Innos mission, you will travel to the snow-filled Tundra where there is an ancient temple, and your mission will be to retrieve a book from that temple for the Water Mages. You will face enemies, discover secret passages and obtain some useful items like Innos’ Grace amulet. This guide shows you how to reach the temple, complete every objective, and collect all the loot before returning to Nefarius.
The Temple Of Innos Quest
The quest for the Temple of Innos starts towards the end of Chapter 3. Once you have completed the Fire Mage quest line, talk to Nefarius. He will inform you of an old temple located in the Tundra and ask you to bring back anything of worth so that it does not fall into the wrong hands.
From the Old Mine entrance, start walking down the path to the left. Follow the path until you arrive at a small Goblin camp. Spend a little time exploring the camp, after which climb up the ladder ahead.
Find The Hidden Temple Entrance
The entrance to the Temple of Innos is hidden behind the falls. Keep staying close to the left side of the area till you see a big fall. Go through the falling waters to find a hidden cave which will lead to the Temple of Innos. In the temple, you will face a very powerful Skeleton Mage. Kill it before proceeding to the main hall of the temple. At the centre of the room, you will find the required quest object: Magic Runes and Rituals.
Enter the left hallway from the main room. Climb up through the collapsed debris and the ladder. You will find some Skeleton enemies along the way, as well as a Skeleton Archer. Find some helpful scrolls inside the room, then open the large door that takes you outside. Walk around the temple until you get to the stone staircase. At the end of the staircase, you will find the aftermath of a battle between an Orc and some Wolves. Collect the following items from the dead Orc:
- Innos’ Grace
- Orc Medicine, which permanently increases your maximum Health and Mana
Remember to collect everything before going away. After collecting Magic Runes, Rituals and Innos’ Grace, go back to Nefarius and give him the book, which will help you complete the mission. If you have acquired Innos’ Grace too, then Nefarius identifies it as an artefact of God and rewards you with it.
