In the Stuck in the Cycle side quest, you need to help a man named Berach who is been locked up in the Cuanacht prison. He asks for your help to get out. You need to free him. To free him, you will have two options. It is your choice how you want to help him. Once you do, Berach will be set free and the quest will be complete.
Stuck in The Cycle Quest

In the Stuck in the Cycle side quest, you need to first find Berach. You will find him Cuancht. The exact location of Berach is marked in the map above. Once you reach there, you will find Berach locked up in the prison.
When you speak to Berach, he will beg you to help him get out of prison. He explains that the guards arrested him for yelling and throwing rocks at crows. He promises you that he won’t do it again. Now to free release Berach, you need to go upstairs and meet the guard, Flann.
Two Ways to Free Berach
After talking to Flann, you have two ways to free Berach:
- If you ask Flann to release Berach, he will ask you to pay a 5,000 gold coin fine. You can now pay the full fine and free Berach to end the quest right here.
- If you ask for another way to Flann, he offers a deal: bring him a meal called Kamelot Delicacy and a mug of Ale. This is a new mini quest, “Bribe It On,” where you collect and cook the food for Flann. To make Kamelot Delicacy, you need Honey, Potato, and Venison.
Either of the two options works; once you satisfy Flann’s request, he agrees to release Berach. Now head back to the cell, release him, and tell him to leave Cuanacht. After completing the Stuck in the Cycle quest, you will earn a reward of 1700 XP.
