To play the Crane Game, go up to the top of the Hideout Ship. There you will see a Hoard. Next, locate the crane machine controls at the side of the big window and start playing the game.

Rather than running after the crate with the claw, you should allow it to float towards you. It is important to know that the crates move along one and the same route through water; therefore, you will have no problems making the prediction where the crate will appear.
The claw needs some seconds to open and to go below water. In order not to waste time, you should press the ZR button before the crate reaches your point. Then you only should release the button and the claw will go down to the crate.
It is necessary to know that not all crates move at the same pace. You should estimate how fast your target is moving, since the claw does not fall immediately after releasing the button and you will have to release it a bit earlier.
