If you want your character to become more powerful in Palworld, getting extra accessory slots is one of the best upgrades you can get. Initially, your characters can have only two accessories, but you can add two more using certain upgrade items. In this guide, we will show you where to find the merchant, how to unlock the extra accessory slots, and the fastest way to collect the Dog Coins needed to buy the upgrades.
How To Increase Accessory Slots
By default, you are allowed to carry two accessories in Palworld. Nevertheless, you can increase this limit up to four by buying two special upgrades from a merchant. First, you should travel to Marsh Island Church Ruins at coordinates (400, -272). Once you get there, enter the ruins and walk to your right. There will be a merchant waiting for you. The merchant has two important items:
- Mysterious Accessory Box – Costs 50 Dog Coins and unlocks your third accessory slot.
- Mystic Accessory Box – Costs 300 Dog Coins and unlocks your fourth accessory slot.
To buy these upgrades, you will need Dog Coins. Buy and use these items, and your new accessory slots will be unlocked, allowing you to equip more accessories and gain extra stat bonuses.
The Mysterious Accessory Box is another item that will provide you with one more accessory slot permanently. You just need to keep the Mysterious Accessory Box in your inventory for it to work without you equipping it. Just like the previous item, the Mystic Accessory Box is another item that will give you access to one more accessory slot.
How To Get Dog Coins
While Dog Coins can also be found inside some treasure chests, the amount is much lower. The Mimog will yield about 50 Dog Coins and is thus considered to be the best means for farming Dog Coins. The Mimog can spawn in various places in the game world; however, it will be much easier to see them in flat terrain such as the desert. They will always run away at the sight of any attack; hence, it is advisable to use a high-level Pal or an effective weapon to defeat them in one shot. Medal Merchants Locations
Medal Merchants are very rare NPCs who can be found in ancient churches around the map. Their distinguishing feature is the large hooded cloak, which completely covers their upper body and face. Below are some locations where you will find them:
- Desolate Church Ruins – Found inside the ruined church northwest of the starting area at approximately (64, -414).
- Forgotten Island Church – Located inside the church ruins on Forgotten Island at around (-455, -17).
- Marsh Island Church Ruins – You can find the merchant inside the ruined building near Marsh Island at approximately (399, -276).
- Sea Breeze Archipelago Church Ruins – Head to the church ruins on the Sea Breeze Archipelago, where the merchant is located at around (-62, -535).
