Mimog is one of the most unique Pal characters that you’ll find in Palworld because, unlike regular Pals, it appears in the form of a treasure chest and flees from your character the moment you find it. Due to its unique nature, it’s harder to catch than most Pals. Mimog In Palworld
Mimog’s Partner Skill is Master of Unlocking. When Mimog is in your active group and helping you in battle, it will unlock all those treasure chests that are locked but do not require any key. You don’t need to worry about getting keys to unlock the chests because your Mimog will do that for you.
Back at your base, Mimog can help you in two ways. It has Gathering Level 1, which enables it to gather ripe crops from your farms, and Transporting Level 2, which makes it able to transport those collected crops and items. Even though it’s not the best worker for all tasks, it can become a good Pal for you.
How To Find Mimog In Palworld
If you’re trying to catch this Mimog, your best place would be the World Tree biome (-1886, 1607). Even though it is capable of spawning in other parts of the World Tree, it is mostly found in the World Tree, particularly the ice biome. However, this does not limit its appearance to the snowy biome since it can spawn in other biomes inside the World Tree too.
Keep an eye out for the small object or container where it appears, as it can spawn in different locations throughout the area. You may need to explore a bit before you find one.
How To Catch Mimog In Palworld
Make sure that you have everything you require before trying to catch Mimog. You will need the Ancient Spheres, and you should equip the Ring of Mercy (any item that prevents you from accidentally killing this Mimog). You will not have to fight with this Mimog directly; rather, you should reduce its health from a distance and then throw an Ancient Sphere at it to capture it.
Capturing this Mimog may pose some difficulties since this Mimog has a similar appearance to a treasure chest and, almost immediately after interacting with it, will try to escape. Once you hit or open this Mimog, it escapes at top speed, so you have to be fast.
The easiest way to catch a Mimog is to be ready with your best Pal Sphere, such as a Hyper Sphere or anything stronger. Lower its health with a quick attack, then immediately throw a sphere before it has a chance to escape.
If Mimog start to run, it is unbelievably fast and can become hard to catch. The Mimog might stop after running for a certain period of time, thus giving you a chance to throw your sphere again, but if not, it might disappear from your view even before you manage to catch up with it.
It will be helpful to use the Pals with crowd control skills when trying to capture it. Using ice-type Pals can allow you to freeze it in one place, whereas Electric-type Pals can stun it long enough to throw your Pal Sphere. AoE attacks will also work great since they are easier to hit a fast-moving creature.
But if the Mimog somehow manages to break away from your attack and starts running away, all you need to do is just to follow it until it stops again and try capturing it once more. Having a fast flying mount such as Jetragon will make this task much easier.
How To Breed Mimog In Palworld
You may also be able to get a Mimog through breeding rather than by catching a wild one. This can be done by putting two Mimogs together in a Breeding Farm. After a while, they will lay an egg. Place this egg in an Egg Incubator and wait for it to hatch, and you will have your Mimog.
Mimog Material And Item Drops
If you defeat or capture a wild Mimog, then it will spawn Dog Coins, Gold Coins, and Training Manuals (XL). Out of all of these items, Dog Coins are the most valuable as they are used for purchasing specific items at the Medal Merchants.
It should be noted that Dog Coins are spawned by wild Mimogs only. If you hatch and butcher Mimogs, then they will not spawn Dog Coins. Most probably, this is done in order to prevent players from spawning an unlimited amount of Dog Coins by hatching, so if you want to obtain Dog Coins, then you will have to defeat or capture Mimogs.
