One of the most helpful machines in the Palworld 1.0 update is the Ancient Material Synthesiser. With this machine, you can make valuable resources such as Chromite, Coralum, Solite, Hardwood, and a lot more. Although unlocking this machine may require some work on your side, it is very useful if you are in the later stages of the game. In this guide, we will show you how to unlock the Ancient Material Synthesiser, craft the required materials, and start using it at your base.
What Does the Ancient Material Synthesiser Do

The device is capable of constantly manufacturing several types of materials, such as:
- Chromite
- Coralum
- Solite
- Hardwood
- Ores and other crafting materials
To use it, simply place the machine in your base, connect it to electricity, choose the material you want, and assign a suitable Pal to work on it. Usually, a level 6 Lumbering or Mining work suitability Pal can work here.
How To Unlock The Ancient Material Synthesiser
First, unlock the machine from the Technology Tree. To craft it, you will need:
- 10 Ancient Civilisation Cores
- 50 Paloxite Ingots
Ancient Civilisation Cores can be obtained from several activities, including:
- Pal Expedition Sites
- Raid Bosses
- Oil Rigs
- Other late-game activities
Paloxite Ingots are found in the new World Tree area, and you can mine them using any pickaxe or the new Plasma Multicutter tool.
How To Craft Paloxite Ingots

The Ancient Furnace is the only place where Paloxite Ingots can be crafted. You will need:
- Solite
- Paloxite Ore
- World Tree Holy Water
You will also need two working Pals:
- A Level 6 Kindling Pal
- A Level 6 Cooling (Ice) Pal
The furnace uses both fire and ice work suitability at the same time. The easiest way to obtain Solite is by building the Solite Mining Site from the Technology Tree.
Note: Paloxite will disappear if you and your Pal haven’t consumed Holy Water or have any of the new World Tree passive skills.
How To Unlock The World Tree Area

To reach the World Tree area, go to the indicated NPC on the map. The NPC will provide you with the Echoing Flute Blueprint and mark four spots for you. Visit those spots, obtain the required item and go back to your base, and create the Echoing Flute with the help of the Primitive Workbench.
Once done, go back to the NPC and activate the shrine there. Now, you will have to fight and capture Panilus in the boss fight. Talk to the NPC after the completion of the fight, and now you will have access to the World Tree area. In the World Tree area, kill wild Pals to get World Tree Holy Water.
How To Get Paloxite Ore

Paloxite Ore can be found in the World Tree zone in the form of glowing purple rocks. Nevertheless, when you get near them normally, the rocks vanish into thin air. In order to mine the ore, you will have to have one of your Pals with the new Rainbow Passive. This passive makes the aura around your character help the ore to remain visible. A Pal with this passive can be acquired through:
- Catching wild Pals in the World Tree region, as some may naturally have it.
- Finding and hatching Ominous Eggs, which can hatch into a Pal with the Rainbow Passive.
Once you have one, keep that Pal in your party while mining. If another active Pal without the passive is nearby, the ore may disappear, so it’s best to put your other Pals away while farming.
