Kill Ludwig Spiegel by Making Him Fall from the Dam – Sniper Elite: Resistance

Sniper Elite: Resistance, Ludwig Spiegel, is an interesting challenge where one can knock him off from the dam in a strategic way instead of killing him directly in a straightforward gunfight. This walkthrough will guide you through the best tactics to clear the area, manipulate Spiegel’s movements, and execute the perfect takedown using stealth and environmental strategy.

Kill Ludwig Spiegel by Making Him Fall from the Dam

If you are tackling the Kill List objective in Sniper Elite: Resistance, start by taking out all the enemies on the dam, except for Spiegel. Clearing the area first makes it much easier to keep Spiegel unaware when you finally go after him, which is key to making him fall from the dam.

If you are trying to clear the dam, the buildings to its east and west are great spots to take out enemies with a sniper rifle. If you enjoy sniper gameplay, consider sneaking across the dam and taking down enemies with stealth melee kills before focusing on Spiegel.

If you end up in a firefight while clearing the area, go ahead and take on all enemies except Spiegel. As long as he isn’t eliminated during the fight, he will eventually return to a neutral state, giving you another opportunity to make him fall from the dam.

    How to Kill Spiegel

While clearing the dam, Spiegel will likely become suspicious or even enter combat mode. If you’re into stealth gameplay, you can spot his alert level by using binoculars – if a yellow triangle appears above his head, he’s on high alert. Once he calms down and returns to a neutral state, the triangle will turn white.

To get Spiegel back to a neutral state, just move to a different part of the map and focus on other tasks for a while. You could work on another objective in Sniper Elite: Resistance’s Mission 4 or hunt for collectibles in the area. No matter how you spend the time, Spiegel should calm down fairly quickly and make his way to the lower level of the dam.

Once Spiegel is back to a neutral state and on the lower level of the dam, you will need to climb down to reach him. There are ladders on both the east and west ends of the dam and their locations are marked on the map above.

Sneak toward the middle of the lower level and look for a small wooden platform extending from the metal walkway. Once Spiegel is nearby, toss a bottle onto the platform to lure him onto it. Then, quickly shoot one of the supports to make the platform collapse, sending Spiegel falling from the dam.

    Tips

    • Take out all enemies on the dam except for Spiegel to ensure a smooth execution of your plan.
    • The buildings on the east and west sides of the dam provide great vantage points to eliminate enemies from a distance.
    • Sneaking across the dam and using melee kills can help keep Spiegel unaware of your presence.
    • Use binoculars to check his status: a yellow triangle means he’s alert, while a white triangle indicates he’s neutral again.
    • Toss a bottle onto the small wooden platform in the middle of the lower level to get Spiegel to walk onto it.
    • Once Spiegel steps onto the platform, immediately shoot one of its supports to send him falling to his death.
    • If your first attempt fails, wait for Spiegel to reset and try again without rushing the process.
    • If enemies respawn or additional threats arise, a silenced weapon can help maintain stealth and control over the situation.
