Ziplines in Grounded 2 provide the player with a great way of getting around their backyard at a much quicker pace. Ziplines offer an effective way of navigating various areas while avoiding walking on grass and dealing with bugs along the way. To unlock them, you first need to find the Pergola Optical Disc and take it to a Ranger Outpost. You can also find the Zip.R in the Gnarly Bark area, which makes using ziplines even more useful.
How To Unlock Ziplines
To access the zipline recipes, you must first find the Pergola Optical Disc. From the Juice Box, navigate your way through the leaves to get to the Crow’s Nest. Be sure to hop from leaf to leaf along the way. Continue moving through this path, and when you finally arrive at the leaf which connects to a cable, hop on and travel along the branch where the disc is located.
Once you are in the area where the disc is, collect the Pergola Optical Disc and collect the loot from the dead body. Once you have obtained the disc, go back to any Ranger Outpost to turn it in. You will be able to unlock the zipline recipes using 2,500 Raw Science.
How To Unlock the Zip.R
The Zip.R can be found in the Gnarly Bark. Start your journey from the Gnarly Bark point and climb up the tree in search of an entry point. Use your mount, the Soldier Ant, which will allow you to climb up the path.
Follow the path inside, and you will soon arrive at the place where multiple bugs are battling each other in some kind of laboratory. Continue your climb through the tree and come out of it at the top. Switch to your Spider mount from the Soldier Ant one after leaving the tree.
Follow the path and look for two hanging sneakers. Zip.R is hiding inside one of those shoes. Enter the shoe and loot the body in order to get Zip.R. With this item, you will receive the recipes for both ziplines and Zip.R, which will help your exploration of the backyard and construction of a zipline network.
Zip Line Crafting Materials
To craft a regular zip line, you need:
- 1 Spider Silk
- 4 Clay
- 5 Weed Stems
You can also build a Zip Line Wall Anchor, which requires:
- 1 Spider Silk
- 2 Clay
- 1 Beasting
This type of transportation system is particularly helpful when moving from high places to low places. The main disadvantage of this transport system is that it cannot move uphill.
