How To Unlock Heat Tolerance Adaptation
You will need to unlock Heat Tolerance Adaptation to access certain areas in the game, and the process can be a little confusing if you don’t know where to go. Starting from the lifepod, head toward the northwestern side of the map. On the way, you can use a jet stream to move faster. Enter the large room with plants and growths. To unlock the adaptation, you need to clear out two different root sections first.
The first step in clearing Bloom from your is acquiring the Sonic Resonator. The Sonic Resonator helps you destroy Bloom Cankers and also helps to repair the infected Angel Combs.
Clearing First Root Section
Before going there, make sure that you have the Sonic Resonator, since you’ll require it to blow away any Viral Blooms. On your arrival at the location, you’ll find rocks with a scientist table close by and an entrance leading into the ground. Dive down into the entrance and blast away any Viral Bloom blocking your way with the Sonic Resonator.
After clearing the first Bloom, you will need to destroy the other nearby Bloom growths as well. This removes the parasite infection spreading through the cave system.
Clearing Second Root Section
After making sure that the environment is now safe, you need to go further into the caves. Follow the caves from this point until you see an Angel Comb near the left area of the mouth-like structure of the cave.
Continue making your way through the cave until you come across another contaminated place. Deploy the Sonic Resonator once more in order to destroy all of the viral blooming growths from the location. Afterward, go back down the path the way you came using your Tadpole as necessary.
One last time, you will have to carry out the same steps at another nearby contaminated location. Once you clear all of the contamination from the places mentioned, get yourself back to the Angel Comb. Once there, interact with it in order to unlock the Heat Tolerance Adaptation. With this adaptation unlocked, you will be able to enter areas of the map that are significantly warmer.
