One of the best ways to gather resources in ArcheAge Chronicles is hunting animals. Wildlife can be found wandering in the open areas and can be hunted with your weapons. The only thing that you will require in order to harvest the materials from the animal’s body is the Hunting Knife. Here’s how to hunt animals, get your first Hunting Knife, and butcher wildlife in ArcheAge Chronicles.
How To Hunt Animals

Go into the wilderness and hunt some wild animals, which may include deer, elk, or rabbits. Defeat them using melee weapons or any kind of melee attack. Once defeated, go near the animal and press F to skin or butcher it using the hunting knife to obtain items such as meat and pelts.
How To Butcher Animals
Butchering animals in ArcheAge Chronicles is possible only after acquiring a Hunting Knife. The Hunting Knife will help you get valuable resources such as animal skins by killing animals. With the help of the Hunting Knife, when you come near a dead animal, you can press F to butcher it.
How To Get The Hunting Knife

To get your first Hunting Knife, you must step out of the Watchtower of Hope and search for an NPC that provides the First Hunt quest. Accept the quest to begin a chain of hunting quests. In the second quest, you will be required to get a Hunting Knife.

You may obtain the item as part of the quest at the indicated spot. After obtaining the knife, you may begin skinning the animals in the game. All you need to do when you kill an animal is approach the animal’s corpse and press F to skin the carcass. You can then collect materials such as hides, which are useful for crafting and other activities.
