Ambergris is an uncommon material that you can gather in Crimson Desert in the Charting the Unknown DLC expansion pack. It is needed for upgrading your ship into Assault Ship of the East and other valuable materials. There are two major methods of gathering Ambergris: mining glowing nodes at the bottom of the sea or salvaging crates that float in the water. Here is how to find it using both methods.
How to Get Ambergris
Ambergris is a rare resource utilized for the construction and upgrading of legendary ships and ship components. The player can obtain Ambergris in the Crimson Desert DLC (Charting the Unknown) in two ways: by mining glowing Ambergris resources underwater and from loot in pirate ships.
Method 1: Mining Ambergris Deposits

In the Seafloor Plain south of Delesyia, near remains of monsters and large fish bones. You can locate it in the form of an orange/yellow shining ore at the bottom of the sea. There will be an alert on your minimap once you swim closer to it. Make use of the mining Knuckledrill to mine the resource. Each node provides you with roughly 4 to 5 pieces of Ambergris, thus you will need only a couple of nodes for the 10 pieces.

You can continue to explore the eastern and western sections around this area to find more bones scattered around the ocean bed. Stick close to the ocean floor to scan the area properly and collect Ambergris.
Method 2: Looting Pirate Ships & Floating Crates
Target Medium to large-sized pirate ships that are sailing in the ocean. Target and destroy larger pirate ships in order for them to drop small square wooden floating crates (instead of barrel-shaped floating crates). The loot from these square floating crates can drop Ambergris randomly.
