Nevertheless, acquiring the parachute is not enough because its basic form does not allow players to manoeuvre in the air. How To Get And Use A Parachute
To use a parachute in War Dogs, you have to purchase one from an Equipment Vendor. These vendors can be found in various locations around the map, as indicated by a gun on the minimap. Go to an Equipment Vendor and open their shop. Go to Gear and then click on Traversal, where there are various parachutes for you to purchase.
Select the parachute you want to purchase and buy it. The price of the basic parachute is only $50, which means you don’t have to spend much to buy a parachute. But the Sport Parachute should be your priority, as you can travel longer distances, fall from greater heights, and also manoeuvre it. The Sport Parachute costs a whopping $500 and unlocks at level 35, but is so worth it in the long run.
After purchasing the parachute, equip it and use it whenever you need to jump from heights. If you can’t equip the parachute, then you need to purchase a backpack from the vendor too. The cheapest backpack you can get is the Scout Backpack for $350. Once you have your backpack on, you can equip the parachute in it and deploy it when required. Each time you use up a parachute, you need to purchase another one.
How To Control A Parachute
The standard parachute in War Dogs can help you land, but you have no control over how you move. As such, it makes you an easy target for the enemy during your descent. In order to have the ability to control your parachute descent, you need to purchase the Sport Parachute.
This upgraded parachute is worth working toward because being able to change your direction rather slowly, making you less predictable and giving you more control over where you land. The input key to deploy the parachute is the Spacebar, which only works after you have made your jump out of the aircraft. You can steer and maneuver after that using the movement keys as normal.
