When playing Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen, you will find that the blue slimes are hard to defeat since they are resistant to both physical blows and elemental spells. Ordinary methods may not help you defeat this enemy; therefore, you will have to use an alternative method. Poison is the weakness of the blue slime.
How To Kill The Blue Slimes
The Blue Slime is an elusive enemy that you will frequently encounter within the new Lost Rites dungeons of the Dark Arisen expansion. The only issue with these creatures is that it tends to be resistant to most forms of physical attack. Attacking the slime with your sword, dagger, or arrows will prove fruitless. The best method to deal with them is through elemental magic.
How To Defeat Blue Slimes

Do not get too close to Blue Slimes since slime-type creatures can be dangerous when fighting up close. The new Blue Slimes, also known as Blobs, introduced in Dark Arisen, should not be confused with regular Slimes since they are resistant to both physical and elemental damage. Their true weakness is Poison (Blight). There are a few different methods to use while dealing with the dark blue slimes.
Use Elemental Spells and Weapons
To kill Blue Slimes, a Mage or a Sorcerer with elemental spells will be required. The fire type of spell can be used since it will not require any other kind of weapon for damage. When using a melee vocation, it will be helpful to have a Mage pawn that can make the player’s weapon enchanted with elemental damage.
Use Blighted Weapons and Poison Jars
Killing them will be easier if you take the poison jars found in the dungeons and throw them onto the Blue Slimes. An alternative would be to shoot an Archer’s Blighting Shot with Blighting Arrows, which, according to players, is able to kill a Blob in one go.
Using Asps and Rotten Food
If there are no poison jars left, you can draw Asps or any other poisonous creatures near the Blue Slimes. The poison will affect the Blobs. An unconventional method includes applying Blight to yourself with the help of rotting food and touching the Slimes, but it is dangerous since the user will suffer from it as well. The safest way is to use poison jars or Blighting Arrows.
