The Scavenger Mount is one of the best mounts that you can get in Gothic 1 Remake, and getting it will make travelling throughout the Colony a lot easier for you. It is something that you can get quite early on, although first, you will have to finish a side quest and collect some items. This is quite easy to do, although some of the items might be hard to find. In this guide, we will show you how to unlock the Scavenger Mount.
How To Get The Scavenger Mount
The Scavenger mount can be unlocked by completing the Beak Performance quest, which will be available for you to start from Chapter 1. You should begin the quest by speaking to Cohsel, who can be found on the path heading towards the New Camp from the area of the Old Camp close to the Broken Tower.
After speaking to Cohsel, continue doing so until you can talk about his Scavenger mount with him. Talk to him about his mount three times, and after some patience, you will complete the process and receive the Beak Performance quest.
Finding The Items
Go to New Camp and dive into the lake located at its entrance to get Kingstide Herbs. In total, you will need to collect five herbs. Once you do that, get 3 Wolf Pelts and 2 Leather Strips. Wolves are common in the wilderness area near the camps; they howl loudly, allowing you to track them down. Kill three wolves to get the necessary pelt.
To get Leather Strips, go to Fisk from Old Camp. He offers them for sale for 10 Ore Nuggets each. Thus, you will need 20 Ore Nuggets to buy two strips. Return to Cohsel once you obtain all items and give them to him. After you do that, he will say that the mount is not prepared yet and ask you to return later.
Return to your camp and sleep for the night. The next morning, when you talk to Cohsel, he will give you a whistle as your payment. Place the whistle on your quick slots, and every time you want to summon your Scavenger mount, use it.
