Iron Skin Ring is a powerful item to use in Gothic 1 Remake that will provide you with defence from the beginning of the game. The Iron Skin Ring can be found in a specific chest at the very top of the Broken Tower; however, in order to open the chest, you need to solve a particular plate puzzle. In this guide, we will show you how to reach the tower, complete the puzzle, and claim all the rewards.

How To Get The Ring Of Iron Skin

Start at the south gate of the Old Camp and go along the route to the west until you get to the path that leads to the territory of the Orcs. From here, go until you find a split path. Choose the eastern one, which can easily be found because it will have a broken fence on the right side and some crushed boxes on the left side.

By continuing along this road, you will reach the Broken Tower. The chest is located on top of the Broken Tower. Go inside the Broken Tower and climb to the top to find it. To solve the puzzle, follow these plate movements in order:

1. First, shift the 1st Plate one position to the left side.
2. Next, shift the 4th Plate one position to the right side.
3. Now shift the 5th Plate six positions to the left side.
4. Move the 3rd Plate one position to the right side.
5. Then shift the 4th Plate one more position to the right side.
6. Now shift the 2nd Plate six positions to the left side.
7. Shift the 3rd Plate one position to the right side.
8. Move the 6th Plate one position to the left side.
9. Then shift the 1st Plate three positions to the left side.
10. Shift the 4th Plate three positions to the right side.
11. Move the 5th Plate four positions to the left side.
12. Shift the 3rd Plate three positions to the right side.
13. Move the 4th Plate three positions to the right side.
14. Now shift the 2nd Plate six positions to the left side.
15. Then shift the 1st Plate three positions to the left side.
16. Shift the 3rd Plate three positions to the right side.
17. Move the 4th Plate three positions to the right side.
18. Lastly, move the 5th Plate three positions to the left side to solve the puzzle.

Inside the chest is a Ring of Iron Skin that will be able to help you increase your defence. There is also an Essence of Strength, which is useful for enhancing your character, and there are 4 units of Iron available for crafting. There are also 2 units of Lab Flask, 2 units of Salt, and 9 units of coins inside the chest.
