Axatana is among the most practical weapons that can be picked up quite early on in Mortal Shell 2, although getting to it requires a bit of exploration. Luckily, it can be obtained right at the beginning of the game. In this guide, we’ll show you the exact route to the Axatana, including how to reach the hidden Forgotten Tower and get past the obstacles along the way.
How To Get The Axatana Early

Axatana can be found as you travel from the Outskirts of Mammon beacon. You can head up Marrow’s Keep and use the fast travel here to reach the beacon quickly. After reaching the area, head left towards the Road of Absolution. Just run past all the enemies to quickly reach the Bone Gate at the end of the area.
Go through the Bone Gate to reach a new area. After landing, go straight down the road that will take you to Catigator’s Keep. Continue forward while keeping to your left, then go up the wooden ramp on your left once you find it. Go across the bridge at the end of the area. You will reach a camp nearby, and just past it is another Bone Gate.

After reaching the top of the mountain, turn left and scale the mountain wall. You will find a road sloping downwards. At the end of the road, drop down on the cultists and quickly dash towards the second bone gate ahead.
Reaching Forgotten Tower

In the next area, you will find the Forgotten Tower. There is a Revered Gland inside the tower along with a staircase going upwards. There are three entrances at the top of the stairs. Choose the entrance straight ahead, right in front of you. You will spot a big tree within this room.

Head up the stairs to see a bone gate on that platform. Go through it to reach the other side, then go left to find a locked gate. Interact with the lever beside the gate to unlock it.
Finding Axatana

Beyond the gate is a dual-wielding assassin enemy. Take them out with your strongest weapons; it shouldn’t be too hard to do. Once the enemy is defeated, pick up the Axatana dual-wielding weapon from the shelf behind the enemy.
