Sulfur is an important resource in Windrose that you’ll need for crafting explosives and progressing your combat gear. It can be found in different ways as you explore the world, especially in areas like the Coastal Jungle and Foothills. Once you know where to look and how to gather it efficiently, you’ll have enough for crafting Gunpowder and other useful items later in the game. In this guide, we will show you how to get Sulfur in Windrose.
How to Get Sulfur

In Windrose, sulfur can be extracted through mining of the yellow sulfur nodes that spawn in the Coastal Jungle and Foothills biomes, by using an Iron Pickaxe for its extraction. However, the best way to get it is by exploring these areas after unlocking the Foothills location, or by looting pirate camps.
Sulfur can be acquired through various means in the game. The best possible source of sulfur would be through the mining of the foliage that gives sulfur each time at a quantity of about 8 to 12 pieces of Sulfur. Another possible source is the looting of chests that have a 25% chance of yielding sulfur, although this is not guaranteed. You can also get sulfur from designated containers, such as trade outposts that give an amount of around 50 sulfur, and this drop is guaranteed.
How to Use Sulfur

Homemade Gunpowder can be made with the help of the crafting feature. This will take you approximately 45 seconds to create, and once it is created, you will receive 10 units of Homemade Gunpowder. For this, you will require 10 units of Sulfur and 20 units of Ash.
When you obtain Gunpowder, it is immediately added to your inventory under the ammo slot. You can also set it up for automatic refilling. This is going to help you because you will not have to put extra effort into reloading while you are fighting with an opponent.
