The Ring of Defence is a good accessory in Gothic 1 Remake that will be able to increase the survivability of your character when fighting. It can be found inside Thorus’ chest at the Old Camp castle, but in order to obtain it, one must first unlock it. There is a guard in the place where the chest is kept. This guide will show you where to find the chest and how to solve the puzzle to claim the ring.
How To Get Ring Of Defence
The Ring of Defence is obtained from the chest located within the Old Camp fortress belonging to Thorus. Go to the second floor and enter the corridor, following it until its end. Find a room on the right side and locate a chest that is situated near the foot of the bed. Unlock the chest by using this method to take the Ring of Greater Dexterity.
It should be noted that the presented method of solving the chest puzzle can be used solely by those characters whose Lockpicking skill is not yet mastered. If your character already has Master Lockpicking, the chest puzzle will work differently, and this solution will not unlock it.
In order to open the box, follow the plate movements described below. First, move Plate 4 one step to the left and Plate 5 two steps to the left. Second, move Plate 2 six steps to the left and Plate 6 two steps to the right.
Third, move Plate 4 two steps to the left and Plate 5 four steps to the left. Fourth, move Plate 2 four steps to the left and Plate 6 three steps to the right.
Fifth, move Plate 4 three steps to the left and then Plate 3 one step to the left. Sixth, move Plate 5 six steps to the left and Plate 2 three steps to the left. Finally, move Plate 6 three steps to the right to open the box.
