One of the most unforgettable NPCs that you will come across at the beginning of Gothic 1 Remake is Mud. However, many players start finding him extremely irritating after some time. The reason is the constant interrupting during the dialogues and inability to get rid of him. However, there is a way to make Mud stop following you as well as to get a special achievement.
How To Get Rid Of Mud

Mud is one of the very first characters you will find in the Old Camp. Although he starts off as a likeable, fun character, he will soon become an irritating companion due to him following you around and interrupting all of your conversations.
Mud can be found on the left side of the entrance to the castle of Old Camp, next to the character named Snaf, who is a cook. Speak with him and allow him to follow you. You will then begin to hear all of his annoying remarks whenever he talks to people during your travels in the Old Camp. In order to complete this achievement, you have to hear all 24 of them.
Some comments are played only when you speak with some other NPCs, which means that you have to walk around the Old Camp and talk with all people available to you. You should also speak with Mud, since there are some additional dialogue choices for him as well.
How To Unlock The Achievement
Once you’ve finished reading all of the lines of dialogue with Mud, take him out of the Old Camp. Make sure to sheathe your weapon so that you fight barehanded, then attack Mud until he falls down. Once he gets up again, he will deliver his last line of dialogue. Immediately after that, the rare achievement will be unlocked, and Mud will leave you alone.
