The High Capacity Air Tank is the single best early upgrade for extended dives in Subnautica 2. It increases your oxygen capacity to 120s which allows you to explore deeper wrecks without constant surfacing. This guide shows where to unlock the blueprint and the exact crafting requirements so you can craft the High Capacity Air Tank and explore the deep seas.
High Capacity Air Tank Blueprint

Head south around 190°-195° and ~100m deep until you reach the Great Jaw as shown in the above image.

Once you’re at the great jaw level, look around for the huge wreck site which is shown in the above first image and head inside the wreck through the doorway on its side.

Right after you enter the wreck, look to your left and you’ll notice the blueprint on the table. Interact with the object and you’ll unlock the blueprint for High Capacity Air Tank.
Obtaining Lithium

While you’re at the location picking up the blueprint for the air tank, make sure to collect some lithium which is located inside the Great Jaw as shown in the above image. Lithium ores are orange in color and you’re going to need the Sonic Resonator to mine them. Also be careful of the great jaw as it starts to close once you start mining the lithium ores and make sure to collect some before heading back to the base as you require it to craft the High Capacity Air Tank.
Crafting High Capacity Air Tank

To craft the High Capacity Air Tank, you need the Standard Air Tank and Plasteel Ingots.
Note : If you don’t have the standard air tank yet, check out my guide for How To Increase Oxygen Capacity.

You can make Plasteel Ingots through the Processor by combining titanium and lithium ores.
Once you have all the materials, you can craft the High Capacity Air Tank at the Fabricator.
