Cavern Mushroom is a useful crafting resource available in the Palworld 1.0 update. It is used in the creation of various crafting items such as recovery medicines, mushroom cake, alluring bait, pal recovery grenades, and revival potions. It can be found in Mineshafts and Dungeons but also through farming the Shroomers at the ranch. In this guide, we’ll show you where to find Cavern Mushrooms, how to farm them efficiently, and all the recipes that use this valuable material.
How To Find Cavern Mushroom
Cave Mushrooms can be found by exploring caves or by having your Pals go on Expeditions to places such as the Grasslands, Volcano, Desert, and Hard Forest. Cavern Mushrooms may be obtained by exploring Mineshafts scattered throughout the world.
The moment you start exploring a Mineshaft, you will notice mushrooms that grow in there and get them as you explore further. These mushrooms may also be found in Dungeons where they normally grow in rocks at the sides of the rooms. Keep an eye on the edges of each room, as that’s where you’re most likely to spot them.
How To Farm Cavern Mushroom

In order to automatically farm Cave Mushrooms, you will need to build a Ranch which becomes available at Technology Level 5. To build one, you will need 30 Wood, 20 Stone, and 30 Fibre, 2 Technology Points, and the Workload of 150.
One of the easiest ways of farming Cave Mushrooms is assigning Shroomer to your Ranch. It is very important to note that while assigning Shroomer, you should not use the purple variant of Shroomer. Shroomers assigned to Ranch can yield Cave Mushrooms as well as regular Mushrooms.
The best way is to put Shroomer in your base and then assign it to the Ranch. In case you have a Monitoring Stand, assign it to perform the Ranch tasks. Then, you should open the work preferences of Pal’s and deactivate all other tasks of the Shroomer, leaving the Ranch as the only task to perform.
It is possible to assign more than one Shroomer to the Ranch. Over time, they will yield Cave Mushrooms regularly, which will be automatically transported by your other Pals.
How To Catch Shroomers

First of all, go to the Mushroom Biome and catch four common Shroomers. It does not matter which sphere you choose for this purpose; you just need to remember that spheres with higher efficiency such as Legendary Sphere would make the task much easier. Mercy Glasses and Ring of Mercy may come in handy since they help to damage the Pal and not put it out. The Mushroom Biome is situated close to the Blossom Biome (-517, 127).
