If you want to farm in Windrose, Bean Seeds are one of the first important crops. They’re easy to farm once you know where to look, and they are a good source of food for your base. On top of that, Beans can be used in several useful recipes, making them more valuable. In this guide, we will show you where to find Bean Seeds, how to grow them properly, and what you can make with them.
How to Get Bean Seeds

In order to farm Bean Seeds, you must enter the Cursed Swamp zone, which becomes available after defeating the boss Israel Hands of the Foothills zone. Once defeated, you will receive a mission known as Forgotten Relics that will lead you to a Cursed Swamp zone location. After reaching the location, begin exploring the ruins, near the ruins that have flower beds.
This is important since Bean Seeds might be part of the loot in these ruins. While exploring this area, keep an eye out for ruins, especially the Swamp Garden ruins. These are the locations where you can farm the Bean Seeds. On opening these chests, there will likely be 1 to 3 Bean Seeds, which are guaranteed drops. Bean Seeds only grow in either a Seed Bed or a Garden Bed. They take approximately one hour to grow. When you harvest your crops, you won’t just get beans; you will also get more Bean Seeds back.
How to Use Bean
Beans are a useful farming resource you will come across in the Cursed Swamp biome. Once you find them for the first time, they trigger a discovery, unlocking new recipes you can start using.
The most important recipe unlocked by Beans is Bean Soup, an easy-to-craft and useful early-game food ingredient. However, there are also several other food-related recipes available with Beans as ingredients. Here’s a list of the items that you will be able to craft from Beans:
- Bean Soup x1
- Beans with Mushrooms and Sweet Potato x4
- Taco x5
So once you start growing beans, you will have a steady supply for cooking multiple dishes. This makes them a great crop to farm, especially if you want reliable food for your adventures.
