Get Cooking Ingredients through Rations

Rations are the easiest to get, they’re the foundation of your meal, and you’ll naturally collect so many that you probably won’t ever have to worry about running out. Even though they’re categorized as meat, fish, or veggies, they’re really just your standard rations. You can grab them from the supply pouch at the start of every hunt or pick some up from the Provisions Master at the Windward Plains Base Camp.

Get Cooking Ingredients through Quests Rewards

Extra ingredients often reflect the culture of each area, like Kunafa Cheese from the Windward Plains or Mud Shrimp from the Oilwell Basin. Because of this, you won’t just stumble across them randomly. Instead, they’re usually given as quest rewards, with a few rare exceptions.

Get Cooking Ingredients through Trades

Once you defeat the Apex monster in a region, you unlock the ability to trade with the locals. They’ll ask for items from other areas, and in return, you can get rare ingredients, this is the most reliable way to gather Extra Ingredients. Just remember, the items available for trade change every in-game day, so if you spot something you want, grab it while you can.
