How to Fast Travel in Runescape Dragonwilds

Curious about how to fast travel in Runescape Dragonwilds? While wandering through Bramblemead can sometimes be a peaceful experience, the region is often riddled with threats—from surprise goblin ambushes to sudden dragon attacks—that can make exploring a real challenge.

Fortunately there is a fast travel option present in the game that helps you teleport at the other end of the map without worrying and frizzling in between. But first you’ve got to activate the lodestones in this co-op adventure, and once you’ve got yourself good gear and weapons, it shouldn’t be too difficult to collect.

How to Unlock Fast Travel with Lodestones in Runescape Dragonwilds

When you first enter the building game, you might not immediately notice that you’re just a few meters away from a lodestone. These unique objects enable fast travel from any location on the map but you’ll need to fulfill certain requirements before you can harness this powerful feature.

To begin, you’ll need to obtain a vault core, a potent energy source once used by the dragonkin. Because of its strength, this item can only be found inside dragonkin vaults. Before attempting this, make sure you’re equipped with at least the Enchant Weapon: Fire spell and some reliable armor for protection. To locate these vaults, simply head toward the blue flag markers on the Runescape Dragonwilds map.

How to Craft and Use Lodestones in Runescape Dragonwilds

To build a lodestone in Runescape Dragonwilds, you’ll need the following materials:

  • 32x Stone
  • 20x Rune Essence
  • 1x Vault Core

Vault cores can be found sitting on stands inside dragonkin vaults, so in theory, you could grab one and run without engaging in any combat. However, it’s a good idea to take on the vault guardian sentinels and overlords, as they often drop rune essence, another essential component.

Lodestones are crafted directly through the building menu, meaning you can place them almost anywhere on the map without needing to visit a crafting station. Once you’ve gathered the necessary items, your next step is choosing a strategic placement for your lodestone. Since vault cores are rare, it’s best to think carefully before using one, especially early on when resources are limited.

We suggest keeping a base near your initial spawn point, as there’s already a fixed lodestone in that area. For future placements, aim for spots you’ll revisit frequently. The good news is you can dismantle a lodestone at any time and recover all the materials used.

Note: Fast traveling via lodestones isn’t completely free. You’ll need 10x Law Runes in your inventory for each use. To avoid being stranded after a long expedition, be sure to craft enough Law Runes at a rune altar before setting off on your journey.
