How to Defeat the Spewer – REPO

The Spewer, a harmless-looking tadpole-like creature in REPO, is actually a major threat, especially in multiplayer situations. Although it doesn’t attack the player it attaches to directly, its acid spray can cause heavy damage to teammates and precious items. This guide will discuss the best ways to avoid and counter the Spewer, revealing its behavior and offering tactical tips for surviving encounters in Swiftbroom Academy and Headman Manor.

How to Defeat the Spewer in REPO

The Spewer is commonly found in Swiftbroom Academy and Headman Manor. In single-player mode, it won’t harm you directly, but in multiplayer, it can be a real problem for your team since its acid damages anyone nearby. The poison it spits from your face can hurt teammates and destroy valuable items.

The Spewer is a small, floating creature that looks like a tadpole. It latches onto the nearest player and starts spewing poison from their head. While it eventually lets go on its own, this can be risky, you might accidentally poison your teammates or destroy important loot. On the bright side, its poison can also hurt other REPO monsters, though it’s not the most reliable weapon. If you spot a Spewer, your best bet is to run or grab and shake it off before it attaches to you.

How to Avoid the Spewer in REPO

To avoid getting grabbed by a Spewer, crouch or hide under furniture to stay out of its line of sight. Moving carefully and avoiding obvious paths like doorways can also help. If you spot it early, try hitting it with a weapon before it attaches to you.

If a Spewer is already on your face, you can actually use it to your advantage. Looking down and jumping while the acid sprays will give you an upward boost. This can help you escape threats like the Clown’s beam, the Upscream’s grab, the Rugrat’s thrown objects, or the Animal’s charge.

If a Spewer latches onto you, don’t panic, it won’t hurt you directly. The best thing to do is wait 50 seconds for it to let go. In the meantime, you can use its acid to damage smaller enemies like Apex Predator, Chef, Bangers, Rugrat, and Upscream. However, it’s not very effective against larger monsters like the Robe, Headman, Trudge, or Animal since the damage isn’t significant enough.
