If you want to explore the Abyss in Grounded 2, you have to create the full Diving Suit. There are three pieces of this armour, and you have to collect three Aquatic Turbo Discs for each of their blueprints. In this guide, we will show you where to find all three discs, the materials you need to craft the suit, and how to enter the Abyss.
How To Craft Diving Suit
The Diving Suit is composed of three parts: the chest part, diving boots, and diving helmet. You will require three Aquatic Turbo Discs to access their respective recipes. Before making the full Diving Suit, you must be sure that you have everything needed to make it.

- Diving Suit Chestplate

Once you have everything, you can craft the complete Diving Suit. In case you don’t know where to find these materials, here is a list of the easiest ways to get them
How to Get Diving Suit Materials
- Lint Rope – You will require the Tier 3 Omni Clippers for this, then venture out to the Picnic Table region. Cut out the lint from the table’s tarps or other fabric items, then use the Spinning Wheel to turn it into rope.
- Wax – Under lily pads in the Koi Pond.
- Cattail Fluff – Bridge Biome’s water edges. Look around for tall grassy plants.
- Toe Biter Shell – Obtained after defeating Toe Biter Nymphs and the regular Toe Biters.
- Chrysalis Leather – On the garden wall of the Veggie garden region. Check the leaves on carrots and potatoes to get it.
- Fire Brick and Quartz Glass – These are late game materials, and you will require the Quern and several other materials to craft them.
First Aquatic Turbo Disc
First, go to the bridge at the southeastern section of the map. Be careful when you get there because you will find green shield stink bugs, along with other bugs nearby. There is an Aquatic Turbo Disc close to one of the bridge pillars. Once you have the disc, you can unlock the Diving Suit chest piece for 1,500 Raw Science. You will also receive 1,000 Raw Science for turning it in.
Second Aquatic Turbo Disc
For the second disc, find your way towards the mid-point of the Nardy Tree by following the tracks. After getting to the location where there is the spicy Chacha box, continue using the roots to move up further. Continue moving through the tree while watching out for any creature that may be around. At one point, you will have to perform a small jump to get outside.
After that, go up towards the candles and use them to go up to the mushrooms above. Go up along this route until you come to another point inside the tree. In this place, you will come across some creatures, but you will manage to get the necessary chips. Once you submit the second disc, you will get the Diving Boots with 1,500 Raw Science.
Third Aquatic Turbo Disc
A Koi Gear isn’t necessary in order to get this item; however, it’s strongly advised to have a breathing pipe or any additional source of oxygen. You should look near the pirate ship and the picnic bench in the water. Find the two pipes and go down following them.
In order to explore further, you need to have some equipment protecting you from the cold. There is a Toe Biter guarding the entrance; however, you can ignore it by swimming past. Go into the entrance, and you will end up at the Diving Station. Keep going through the ladders and corridors until you reach the big laboratory. The last Aquatic Turbo Disc will be located on a small trolley. It will give you access to the Diving Helmet, which costs 1,500 Raw Science.
Diving Suit in Grounded 2
Each part of the Diving Suit is characterised by its unique useful property:
- Helmet: Grants Master Diver, improving the amount of oxygen when you are underwater.
- Chest Plate: Has Chill Reduction, which allows staying warm at greater depths.
- Boots: Grant Diving Ballast, allowing you to descend to the bottom of the pond.
While exploring the pond, you do not have to wear the whole suit at once. You can use only those parts that you need. But in order to access the Abyss, you have to wear the entire Diving Suit at once. When you wear the whole Diving Suit, you will not suffer from underwater chill and have infinite amounts of oxygen.
How To Enter The Abyss
Having got the full Diving Suit, go to the Diving Station, where you’ve got the third Aquatic Chip. Enter the double doors and take the PTS deeper underground. Follow the path and enter the pool. The first time, you will be asked to scan your hand. The game will check if you have the complete Diving Suit equipped.
If everything is fine, you will be able to enter the water and dive into the Abyss. The boots of the diving suit will sink you into the abyss, so you will slowly sink till the very bottom of the Abyss. Once you get there, you will be able to use the elevator to skip the long way down in the future. Now, you will be given an additional map for the Abyss, and you will be able to continue the game from the Touchdown Zone.
