The Ghorim’s Replacement side quest can be found in the Swamp Camp of Gothic 1 Remake. The problem with Harlok must be solved because Ghorim wants Harlok to return to work, having left his job at the herb mashers. Ghorim’s Replacement Quest
In order to keep searching for what you need, you must first find Harlok, whom you will have to replace Ghorim with, working as a swampweed masher under the direction of Baal Orun. Harlok is located right under Cor Kalom’s laboratory. If you have any difficulty locating this laboratory, do not hesitate to ask Lester at the camp entrance, since he can direct you right there.
Once you have located Harlok, approach him and then use the following dialogue command: “Get your lazy ass to the herb mashers or I’ll kick it all the way to Nordmar.” With this, Harlok will become hostile towards you.
Since Harlok fights bare-handed, it is easy for you to get the better of him using your weapon. However, you must be cautious as you fight; you should only avoid hitting any NPCs that might be near. Otherwise, the Templars will also join in on the fight against you.
Once you defeat Harlok, report to Ghorim in order to complete the mission and earn yourself some experience points. In case you do not know how to get back there, just follow Harlok as he moves towards the herb mashers. The completion of the Ghorim’s Replacement quest earns you 300 experience points. The quest also unlocks another mission known as the Swampweed Harvest.
