The Forged Rivalries side quest is one of the shorter quests in Gothic 1 Remake and involves you settling an old score between two highly skilled blacksmiths. In this task, you need to infiltrate the castle of Gomez, steal the design of an important weapon and ask Stone to craft a powerful Warhammer for you. Forged Rivalries Quest
Forged Rivalries is unlocked after completing The Templar’s Blade. Travel to the Swamp Camp and talk to Darion. He seeks revenge on Stone, who is the blacksmith in the Old Camp, and wishes for you to steal a unique weapon design from the castle of Gomez.
Steal The Royal Weapon Design
Go to the Old Camp, enter the castle of Gomez and find the weapon in the chest located in the throne room near the throne. Open the chest close to the throne. You will get the Royal Weapon Design there, and you should take it and leave the castle.
Then go to Stone, the blacksmith, who lives in the Old Camp courtyard and give him the Royal Weapon Design. Stone admires it, but tells you that forging such a weapon requires quite costly materials.
Instead of gathering all the materials by yourself, you can just pay Stone 1,000 Nuggets, and he will purchase them for you. Then he asks you to come the next day. Come the next day and talk to Stone. He will give you the Warhammer that has been forged.
Give the Warhammer to Darion in the Swamp Camp. Darion likes Stone’s job and says that it is fine to be proud of this work, and it will sooner or later attract Gomez’s attention. As a prize, Darion teaches you to forge Warhammers.
