Canvassing Customers is a simple early-game quest that you can start in Chapter 1 after arriving at the New Camp. Here you will have to assist Baal Kagan in promoting his swampweed by distributing free samples. Although the quest itself is not complicated, its completion is necessary for other quests such as A Piece of the Pie and Admission to the New Camp. This guide will show you how to start the quest and sell all of the Green Novice herbs to complete the quest.
Canvassing Customers
The quest is available as early as chapter 1 in New Camp from Baal Kagan. He will be sitting around a campfire located next to the entrance of the large cave area. Speak with Baal Kagan and ask him about his business in the camp. To start the quest, choose the following dialogue options:
- What brings you here?
- Why don’t your people send another man to help you out?
- Say I hand out these “appetisers” for you – what’s in it for me?
- All right, hand me those rolls. Who should I give them to?
After the conversation, you will receive 10 Green Novice herbs from Baal Kagan, and he will task you with distributing those herbs throughout the camp. Having gotten the 10 Green Novice herbs from Baal Kagan, start talking with people in the New Camp and sell them your herbs. The people will buy each of the herbs from you for 10 Ore Nuggets. The easiest clients for you will be the Bandits and Mercenaries who live in the cave part of the camp, since they will gladly buy your herbs without creating any problems for you. Now that you have sold all 10 Green Novice Herbs, go back to Baal Kagan for the completion of the quest.
