Having good equipment in Palworld 1.0 is not always about fighting bosses and relying on loot drops. Some of the most powerful weapons and armour can be acquired via Ancient Ruin Towers and quests that give schematics as a reward. Thus, visiting specific spots will allow you to equip yourself faster. In this guide, we’ll show you the best places to find rare weapons, armour, and other valuable gear early.
Rare Weapons And Armour Locations
If you want to get rare gear easily without depending on drops, the Ancient Ruin Towers are the best places to begin. This is because many of the towers have rewards that guarantee schematics, and this makes them some of the quickest ways to level up your gear.
Life Pendant Schematic
The first tower that you will be clearing gives you the Life Pendant Schematic. If you are planning to craft many weapons, then it is worth trying to find a Rabunny Botan as well. This Pal works at 200% work speed for making weapons at the weapon workbench.
Makeshift Assault Rifle
Go east and then move along the northern edge to find another Ancient Ruin Tower. This one has a puzzle that’s not very difficult at all, and your reward will be the Makeshift Assault Rifle Schematic (Rare). The best thing about this blueprint is that you do not require a Weapon Assembly Line to make the weapon. You can craft the weapon at a regular weapon workbench.
Rare Metal Armour
Another Ancient Ruin is located near the Free Pal Alliance Tower. Break the rock blocks that are blocking the entry to this tower and clear it out to get the Cold Resistant Metal Armour Schematic (Rare). You can also find the Heat Resistant Metal Armour Schematic from another tower near this one.
Visit Feybreak for Rare Rewards
You will be able to go to Feybreak way ahead of time via Fisherman’s Point. You will find the flight much easier if you take either a flying mount or Chillet along with you. When you get there, you need to talk to the quest NPC and not head directly towards the tower. The quest requires you to collect 10 Nightstar Sand, which spawns only on the beach at night. You will then get:

Feathered Hairband Schematic Level 3
There is also a tower near Hill Beginning that gives out the Feathered Hairband Schematic Level 3. This tower is near the beginning of the level and hence, easy to get.
NPC Missions
Many NPC quests reward rare equipment if you show them specific Pals.
- Show a Wumpo to an NPC near Victor and Shadowbeak’s Tower to receive a Rare Grenade Launcher Schematic and a Rare Plaststeel Helmet Schematic.
- Some older quests that previously rewarded a Rocket Launcher have been changed, so their requirements are now different.
