There are some valuable items that you should try to collect as early as possible since these items will boost your defence and increase the power of Koo. Best Early Game Items And How To Get Them
The very first place you will have to visit is the locked chest, which is located in one of the fast-travel areas that appear early on. Before being able to unlock the chest, you will have to take care of the enemies that are around. After killing them off, you will be rewarded with the code to unlock the chest. This chest will be located in a small cave, and the game will give you the coordinates. The code is 04180.
Lock Box Rewards
Opening the chest gives you several useful items that are worth collecting early:

- Another upgrade item for Koo.
- Amber.

Chain Mail Armour
Don’t forget to check out the save point before taking on the Rangifer boss fight that is near. There is also a chest right above the camp that needs to be opened to get the Chain Mail armour, which offers:
- A large boost to Defence.
- +50 Flame Resistance, making fire-based enemies much less dangerous.
