Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy allows players to collect various blades throughout the game. The blades have unique abilities which give Sophia alternative methods of dealing with her opponents. Some of the blades can be easily obtained by the player, whereas some are found in tombs and need to solve light puzzles to obtain them. In this guide, we’ll show you where to find every Blade and explain what each one does.
All Blade Locations
There are a total of 8 Blades that need to be collected in Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy, or 9 in case you own the Pre-Order DLC pack. Collecting all of them is mandatory if you want to unlock the Plunderer and Adaptable achievements. The best part is that there is no need for you to be concerned about losing one or more of them, since it is possible to collect them at a later time through Chapter Select mode.
Rusty Sword Location – Chapter 1
The Rusty Sword is provided automatically at the beginning of Chapter 1, meaning that there is no need for you to find it. It is the weapon Sophia uses when she is training and on her initial missions. The Rusty Sword has no special powers.
Falchion and Hero’s Blade Location – Chapter 2

The Falchion is located in Chapter 2 when you’re moving around the carnival in stealth. After Sophia removes her mask, she draws out her sword, and you will get the Falchion. In case you have purchased the Pre-Order Heritage Pack, you will get the Hero’s Blade as well in the same chapter. The two swords share the same unique ability that gives you extra damage after a critical strike.
Kopis Location – Chapter 4

Look for Kopis within Chapter 4. During your exploration of the chapter, Sophia and Leni will manage to evade an attack by a spike trap. After evading the spike trap, go to the next room. You will find Kopis inside the next room. Its special ability makes the final hit of a combo deal a powerful blow that also inflicts stun damage.
Greek Sword Location – Chapter 5

The Greek Sword can be obtained in Chapter 5 while completing the puzzle to solve the first symbol required for opening the big door. Upon entering the puzzle room, you have to make a right turn rather than going straight forward. Now, jump across to the cliffs and proceed till you find the ancient camp. You will need the sphere to light three different areas.

In order to get a better position, head towards the cliffs near you and climb on top of the columns. From the left side of the column, align the colours to three different areas. Once completed successfully, enter the grave and open the tomb to obtain the Greece sword. This sword modifies Sophia’s attacks to a significant extent. She doesn’t use her dagger for regular attacks and uses a spinning attack for critical hits.
Sica Location – Chapter 6

Sica is located in Chapter 6. When you have gotten Daedalus’s secret key, you will need to unlock the door in front of you. Do not move forward but instead turn left to enter the long tunnel where there is a room full of spots of light.

To open the tomb, you will first need to get on the platform in the middle of the room and use the sphere to control the colours of the light. Two lights are to be set directly, while the third is to be set through the use of a small mirror. Solve the puzzle, and you will be able to get into the tomb to get the Sica. This item has an ability that makes your Focus Meter go up each time you kill someone.
Khopesh Location – Chapter 7

The Khopesh can be found in Chapter 7 when Sophia is navigating her way around the battlefield. You will crawl into a small passage, destroy the area, and emerge from it. When you do that, you should look to your left and find a giant skull.

Go close to it, and there will be a light puzzle near it. Stand next to the plate and use the sphere to direct all the lights to their places. Upon solving the puzzle, you will be able to enter the tomb and get the Khopesh. The Khopesh has a unique ability that makes the last hit in a combo give a critical injury, causing damage over time.
Broken Spear Location – Chapter 9

The Broken Spear is located in Chapter 9, where Sophia is pursued by the beast. After killing the guard who is close by, leave the room quietly and take a left turn. Climb the platform slowly until you reach the light. In the open tomb that you will see, you will find the Broken Spear.
This blade lets Sophia pierce enemy guards and shields after performing a Sprint Attack, allowing her to deal damage even through their defences.
Xiphos Location – Chapter 10

The last sword that can be found is the Xiphos, which can be picked up in Chapter 10 when Sophia and Faro are looking for the way inside the mountain. When you approach the place with the puzzle, don’t start solving it right away. First, go to the end of the zone where the water is high and turn left to the cave. Climb to the top and activate the sphere to light several lights.

When facing the tomb, go to the right and climb on the platform from there; shine the three lights at their respective places. One of those spots will be blocked by some broken vases, so first destroy those. After putting all three lights in their right places, the tomb will open, and you will be able to pick up the Xiphos. Sophia deals damage when parrying attacks. However, there’s a catch: while using this blade, Sophia can no longer block attacks.
Collecting all 8 blades will add the Plunderer trophy/achievement. You can also get an additional trophy named Adaptable if you use each blade and manage to get a kill with it.
