In the Advance Down the Correct Path objective, you need to go through the Moon’s Core, where you need to avoid Searchlights and defeat the final guardian. Going through the area, there will be a few simple mechanics that need to be completed to move forward in the quest. This quest will take a lot of time, so come prepared with healing and food items. Moon Gazing Quest
Project Moongazer becomes available after you finish the Visitors From the Stars World Quest. Then talk to Columbina, and she will send you to the reverse side of the moon. Move around to avoid the searchlights and the orange bombs as you make your way through the area. Go deeper into the base and interact with all Observe options at the terminal. Use Archaeolune Energy to distract searchlights and hide behind walls or debris to avoid being spotted.
Deactivate the Security Control Devices and Pass the Searchlight Zone
Defeat the Precursor’s Secret Source Matrix of the Overseer Network and take the elevator to the control room upstairs. Shut down both security control devices within the 90-second limit. The timer is slow so it shouldn’t be a problem.
Continue through the base using the moving crate for cover in the searchlight hallway and an Archaeolune Energy ball to break through the second barrier. Enter the passage on the left and activate the mechanism at the start of the level. This will send out a moving crate that you can use as cover to bypass the searchlights.
Go Through The Sealed Zone and Find Clues in the Lab
In the next area, with the help of Archaeolune Energy, jump across the platforms to get to the door at the marked location. In case there are searchlights around, they can be distracted by using the ball. In the Research Lab area, head right to find a luxurious chest, then go to the end of the right side hallway to find a terminal with the research clue.
Then, take the elevator in the middle of the lab to enter the moon’s core and visit the waterfall here. This will activate the Hypergravity state; just press the prompts that appear on the screen to bypass it. After that, follow Columbina to the middle of the moon’s core, then jump down to be teleported to the actual core.
Advance Down The Correct Path
Gravity will be a bit different here, and the ability to jump higher will be limited. Use the pillars around the zone to climb upwards and advance to the next area. Keep walking towards the Moon’s Core and pass through the small opening between the giant rings. This will also give the To Traverse Mesklin achievement.
Continue following this path until Columbina points out the next area. This area is also filled with engineering mechanisms, so keep an eye out for them, and go sideways towards the marked location. Head up the slopes, then go down. Avoid the two searchlights in the area, then go either right or left to find the entrance. The next objective will be to open the way to the moon’s core, which will result in a boss fight and end the quest.
