A Withering Curse is one of the smaller main story quests in Diablo 4: Lord of Hatred, and it is set in the Unyielding Soils area of the Skovos region. You will need to embark on this quest automatically by completing On the Hunt and unlocking the Huntsman’s Basilisk rideable. A Withering Curse Quest
A Withering Curse is the main story quest in Diablo 4: Lord of Hatred. The quest is set in the Unyielding Soils, which can be found in the Skovos location. You don’t need to look for it since it will begin automatically after finishing the On the Hunt quest. When completing the On the Hunt quest, the Huntsman’s Basilisk will be found and unlocked as a mount to use later in the game. Once that is done, the A Withering Curse quest will immediately start and continue with the main storyline.
Talking with Lorath
After the conversation with Lorath at the Unyielding Soils, travel to the southeast, toward the quest marker. After reaching your destination, find Lorath standing outside the entrance to the Bowels of the Old City. Talk to him and ask what you can expect to find inside. Once the conversation ends, the A Withering Curse quest will be complete. As a reward, you will receive 31,360 XP and 2,840 Gold. The next main story quest, The Void, will then begin automatically.
