Black Myth Wukong Boss Freeze Bug Fix

Black Myth Wukong has broken all records and has sold almost double the copies of the record holding game Cyberpunk 2077. Unlike Cyberpunk, Black Myth Wukong is mostly bug free and the experience is smooth, but every once a while a small group of players can run into an issue where the boss does not move. If you are stuck with the Black Myth Wukong Boss Freeze Bug, there are certain things you can do to fix the issue.

Fix Black Myth Wukong Boss Freeze Bug

The issue with the boss freezing occurs with many different bosses especially the bear, but can affect other bosses as well. The problem starts when you stagger a boss or when he drops down. When they get up, they are frozen. Here are the various ways to fix this issue.

Change the Game’s Language to English

For some reason, the language settings of the game causes issue. This problem was highlighted during the review process of the game where the game crashed if the PC language was anything other than English. The crash issue does not exist anymore, but players have reported that changing the language fixes the Black Myth Wukong Boss Freeze Bug. Here is how to change language settings.

  1. Go to the Windows Settings > Time & language >Language & region
  2. Click on Add a Language and follow the screen prompts to get English as the local language

Change Country and Region to America

Another fix that has worked for players is to change the region to America. Here are the steps you can follow.

  1. Go to the Windows Settings > Time & language >Language & region
  2. Under Country or Region, choose America

Use Immobilize Spell

Another fix that can work to resolve the issue is to use the immobilize spell. Once you have used the spell, keep attacking the boss and they should start moving and the fight should resume as normal.

Wait for a Patch

Unfortunately, if none of the fixes worked, you may have to wait for a patch. Starting a new save or reinstalling the game does not appear to fix the issue.
