Dissatisfied with the meager reward he received from Torres for those maps, Edward plans to get the greater profits by locating the legendary device and selling it to the right person, and to become the richest person in the West Indies. He infiltrates the heavily guarded governor’s estate to meet The Sage.
He thinks the sage is the key to discovering the device. This guide helps you to navigate the fortress, locate Warden Sotelo, and steal the prison keys. Staying out of sight is vital.
How to get the Quest
This quest triggers automatically in the storyline when Torres pays Edward. Frustrated, Edward enters the Governor’s Estate through a broken wooden fence built into a stone wall. As soon as you enter, you are in a tall green grass field that hides you. To your left is a ladder; use it to reach the rooftop, as shown in the image below.
From your position on the rooftop, leap onto the tree branch directly in front of you, use the tree branch to cross the gap, and jump onto the rooftop of the adjacent hut, as shown in the image below.
Drop down from the hut and slip into the tall grass field to the right, allowing you to move invisibly past patrol guards, as you follow the path to the right until you reach the stone staircase. Wait until any guards patrolling the area are gone, and take the stone stairs to get to the upper courtyard. As shown in the image below.
Once you reach the upper courtyard, rush into the tall grass field to your left. While heading straight toward the hut offers you a more concealed approach, a guard patrols around the hut. Wait until he moves or you take him down, to your left is a wooden crate against the wall. Use it to jump over the wall to get to the next level of the courtyard, as shown in the image below.
You will land in a grass field. Stay low and look to your right to find a treasure chest marked with a red arrow. Once it has been looted, return to the original landing spot and head straight to the stone stairs to reach Warden Sotelo’s location, as shown in the image below.
Once you reach the main courtyard, take cover in the grass field. Move to your left towards the shadowed corridor to make an assassination attempt from that point and wait until the warden finishes meeting with the guards and goes on patrol, as shown in the image below.
After neutralizing the warden, loot his body to secure the keys. Head down until you reach the ladder to your right, get on the rooftop, and take down the guards silently, and lead head towards the next building, as shown in the image below.
Jump onto the tree and get down to reach the prison cell, which would take you on a different path.
